Over time it has come to my attention how little time players start or even make a 53 man NFL roster, but are not seen again the following season. From Running Backs to Wide Receivers to Corner Backs the turnover is tremendous. We see QBs like Drew Brees or Carson Palmer play for long carriers and with different teams, but as consistent as they are, the year to year player changes around them does not speak as loudly until one is viewing past seasons games. Payton Manning with the Colts and his brother Eli with the Giants to Aaron Rodgers in GB have all seen loads of players come and go as they played out long carriers.

I started this thread to encourage members to post about the Edgar Bennetts and Chad Cliftons and "Refrigerator" Perrys that have come and gone. From Devin Hester to Ed White to Too Tall Jones to Franco Harris, the stage is yours to fill.

Chuck Mercein. A HUGE part of the win in the ice bowl.
Didn’t do much before or after.
Lombardi didn’t even start him in the Super Bowl. He told Chuck a few minutes before the game started that he wasn’t going to play.
Without him, they might have not even got to the super bowl.
Kind of a “one hit wonder”.
