Assuming the Packers stay at the 30 spot, what time will they pick?
(All times Eastern)
I'll go with 11:35 PM.
And sadly I will be sound asleep.
Fifty years ago I would have been at a draft party.
The golden years suck!!!

I'm thinking about 11:00 eastern time

But that's because I read they're trying to wrap up by 11:30, but I thought it was normal later than that.

I'll split the estimates and go with 11:15.

It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out without the extra fanfare, No one on stage and so on. Will it run faster? I think NFL Inc slowed things down to get the max commercials and hoopla. Then again what if there is connectivity issues between a particular team's officials or from the teams back to the NFL itself?

This is not fact, this is me speculating.

Edit, oops I put 15 when it should have been 10. Not sure why I was thinking 15.

Did they go back to 15 minutes per round on account of the circumstances of this year?

It's not like they had all 32 teams stationed inside of the draft location. The teams are generally headquartered at their team facilities. They then phone in their pick. The difference with the situation we have now is teams won't be together, they'll instead be in their own group chat/conference call. They'll still have someone dedicated to calling in the pick.

I dunno. Maybe my ignorance to this is making me think this isn't going to be that big of a deal and will for the most part be "normal" with the exception of not seeing the players walk across the stage. We'll probably see a live camera of the commissioner making the pick. Probably won't have the special announcers for the ensuing rounds after round one.

Just because a team makes their pick in their allotted 10 minutes doesn't mean the NFL immediately announces the pick. They hold off. Play the commercials. Interview prior draft selections. Allow the talking heads time to do their final assessments and prognostications. Look at the best players still available and the like. Then Roger comes out and announces the selection. Have you never seen the running clock for the next team is down to 8 or 7 minutes or even less? I've seen it around 5 minutes every once in a while.
