Hanging in there.. His CEA has gone up the past 4 weeks, I'm sure that's a bit discouraging. He had his CT scan this week and will find out results next Friday, along with a game-planning session with the doc (he had just finished up IV chemo treatment #10 which is the final round for a while to let his body recuperate).

My nerves have been pretty raw the past week and will probably continue to be so until at least this Friday. I did a little research on his cancer and found that it was stage III (passed through colon walls and into other organs).

Dad hasn't updated his blog yet, so here are the results from last Friday's CT scan.

Tumors have shrunk some more than others. Will be changing IV meds from Oxyplatin to Avastin. Cold sensitivity side effect will be replaced with potential high blood pressure and possible rash side effects. No report on when new regimen starts. Overall, the report was good. Doctor is real pleased. The largest tumor decreased in size very slightly, but most/all others decreased much more.
