Signing Austin Hooper Makes a Lot of Sense

Assuming Jimmy Graham retires or is released, do you agree with signing Austin Hooper?

The Green Bay Packers reportedly tried to make several moves before the 2019 trade deadline. To be more specific, there was one in the form of acquiring one of the NFL's rising stars at tight end. They should kick the tires on Hooper. I think I heard he's looking at an 11 million dollar cap hit. That's not very far away from Jimmy's $10 mil so it's doable. They will get $8 mil from releasing Jimmy. That means only an additional $3 mil will be needed.

Another option is checking with Baltimore. I heard they are looking for offers for Hayden Hurst. He will probably only cost a 4th and is on a rookie contract. As a first round pick GB could get 3 years out of him if they really want to.

The Athletic's Jeff Howe reports there's a "real chance" the Ravens "move" third-year TE Hayden Hurst this offseason.

For the most part The Athletic and Rotoword are reliable sources so it is a possible option.

Look around the league. There are TEs that make a HUGE difference on their teams.
I wish we had a great TE. That could open up many options.

As for Hayden Hurst for a 4th... SOLD! Pull the trigger NOW... As I'm thinking it'll take more than that to get him, and he very well might be worth more than that, though I might be biased, as I've always really liked Hayden Hurst's tape.
