Report: Packers planning a run at Austin Hooper

They make plans to run at most everyone. But, maybe this means they're cutting bait with Graham?

It looks like Austin Hooper's going to a popular name in the NFC North when free agency opens next month. Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that the Packers plan to make a run at the tight end. How much PR was there before Gute signed the Smith Bros, Amos or Turner? I don't recall anything being said. They keep their collective mouths shut and head down and get it done.

I don't like the sound of this, as I think Hooper is over rated and will get over paid. He's very well rounded, can be a jack of all trades, but what he's done best is just be a safety valve, if you worry too much about their WRs and leave him open he catches the ball underneath.

He's basically got twice as many catches as Graham but basically the same amount of plays over 20 yards.... and that's with Graham dropping a good number of his and Hooper catching most of his.

And Falcons had better WRs than Packers to help get him open.
