As for the Packers, they're going to have to make strides as a unit, because Gutekunst doesn't have a lot of resources at his disposal to make another quantum leap in talent this offseason.

FA- I don't see Gute going after a first tier player. One-maybe and one or two 2nd tier types.
Draft- At pick 30 Gute cannot be position focused. That's a recipe for disaster. BPA all the way. Otherwise 2-3 years down the road you could end up with nothin'. Gute could possibly move up but the 30th pick of subsequent rounds doesn't offer much fire power.
The third way to improve along with FA and draft is 2nd and 3rd year player development. Savage and Jenkins are already good but that doesn't mean they can't get even better, Players like Gary, Keke, Lazard, Brown, and, Sternberger taking a step forward would be great.
The one I'm hoping for to see the most improvement without going outside the building is Sternberger. Loved his attitude and the ability he showed in areas not considered to be his strenths. A shame he missed so much of the season as I suspect he would have contributed much more in the passing game towards the end of the year. If he makes the 2nd year leap it's as huge for the offense as finding a good #2 wr.
