Ervin was drafted in the fourth-round by the Houston Texans in 2016. He has totalled over 1,200 yards as a kick/punt returner in 31 career games as a Texan and Jaguar.

I see Trevor Davis was just waived.
Could we see a return to Green Bay?

It's pretty sad that this far into the season and they still have no plan as to a return man. They just keep churning and churning rejects from other teams.

I went to school with Tyler and he was a bigger standout than James Jones was at San Jose State.

As a RB, he has the potential to fit in the mold of a Tarik Cohen or Darren Sproles. I wouldn't hold my breath, but he's definitely dynamic. He posted 300 yards rushing in one of our rivalry games.

If he can produce in the return game, great, but seeing what Mannega has taught his unit over the year... anything can happen.

I guess it is easier to get rid of the one punt return guy rather than the other 10 who are supposed to be blocking for him. The punter returners have no time is the problem. Might as well have nobody punt returning and rush 11 to try to block the punt.

Perhaps our ST coach is not very good, but IIRC he was the last guy we signed and...an afterthought.

However, just because he may not be the "cat's meow", an equally plausible explanation, and likely a contributing factor for our special teams woes, is that we may not have a very 'physical' team. Coverage on special teams, as much as any aspect of the sport is about controlled aggressive animal behavior, and we may not have that many "ass-kicking rip your lungs out" athletes on the team.
