I guess what I mean is we will have a lot more guys to worry about, not only baktiari. So in order to resign him we will probably have to let some other key guys go that we really won't want to. Big sacrifices coming up in the next few years I think, more than we are used to.

Not at all concerned about 2020 and beyond, more focused on 2019.

How many contracts is that reflecting in 2021? Is that counting Clark's 5th year option we just picked up? Also every guy we resign between then and now will eat into that total. That's resigning our own guys, signing two entire draft classes plus some free agents. I don't think we will have nearly 60 by the time 2021 actually comes around.

The Packers brass have to deal with these kinds of things every year, so I’m not overly worried.
In fact all teams have this kind of thing.
We are lucky that we have several good players that cause this kind of “problem”.

By the end of 2020 Rodgers will have room to pull a Brady and redo his deal freeing up some space. He will have a 14.7 million dollar salary that will be able to be converted to bonus or we could save 10 million by cutting him outright (22 million if we make him a post June first cut) Kizer ought to be ready by then.

I'm not too worried about being able to keep Clark or Bakhtiari. Like others have said, we have them under contract for 2 more years (and there is always the franchise tag after that for one of them) and I'm not to concerned about losing Daniels. Worry about 2019 and then start seeing what to do about the 20202 guys though I would like to see extensions for both before 2020 starts.

This year should show if he will be back to his pre-injury talent.
I sure am not in any hurry to see him leave.

I'm thinking Bulaga or Daniels will be signing elsewhere next year (maybe even both, at least if they're gonna go for very top dollar).

Note: I don't think Bulaga took top dollar last time, Bills reportedly offered more and I don't think it got to that stage where other teams where offering Daniels anything (yet).

Is Davante due to be resigned then as well? Rodgers will be making 35, both Smiths at 15+, Davante will need 20 and Bakhtiari and Clark probably will as well. That is a hell of a lot of money to devote to 6 guys.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
