It's the off-season and I'm gonna break the rules, a little. My youngest daughter, Scarlett, has joined Girl Scouts and that means she's selling girl scout cookies.

And with the wonders of technology, you can order some from her through the link below and have them delivered to your door!

https://www.abcsmartcookies.com/#/shopify-landing/39a75f27-dd36-436d-bde2-7e6d8b71a1b9

Standard shipping and handling fees on orders of 1-4 packages is $11.50.

SAVE ON SHIPPING! If you order 5 packages or more you will receive a 50% off shipping discount for all orders in the continental U.S., subsidized for you by your local Girl Scout Council. The Gift Box will ship separately at standard fees, and qualifies for 50% off shipping fees.

Can I just buy some and have her give them to someone?

I don't need them weight wise, and I don't want to pay for shipping, but would like to support the cause.

Can you provide an address to ship them, or if you provided a method to just send a check so that she could get credit, that might be better for many of us, especially us fat asses.

I suppose it would, but it doesn't seem to be on the site. For us DS's if you had a work address:
• We could address the envelope your work address

Then make a check out per to be provided instructions.
• If paypal, could you provide navigation.

I'll get back to you Kevin. Between the neighbor girls. The ones from church. Family. We have bought quite a few already. Let me see what that damage is.

Z2c, the easiest solution is just to provide members with neutral shipping address...perhaps Scarlett's local girl scout headquarters. Then we could designate the packages for her.

Kevin have her donate 2 boxes of her favorite kind to the charity of her choice. I use to have your paypay info (when we bought jerseys) but I don't seem to have it any more. Let me know how much and I will the funds.

Do the Girl Scouts have a sponsor affiliation like Target or Walmart. Perhaps CVS or Walgreens are supporting retailers. I seem to recall seeing in the past where Girl Scout Troops would set up a sales table at a retailer and staff it with Girl Scouts selling their fine products. The Store gets good public relations and the Scouts benefit with sales. Weekends were when I believe I remember that they would appear. Door to Door sales is hard and can be, in some cases, dangerous.

    Best of Luck.

I hawked peanuts for Kiwanis outside the local grocery store many times. Last year I went to a local Lowes and got boy scout popcorn. I have contributed to girls scouts in a few towns in the area.

When I did the peanuts it was usually a Saturday afternoon in Sept. It can get pretty warm. I learned to make sure I wasn't dry mouth when I talked. I asked a couple of 20 something girls if they wanted some peanuts. The shocked look on the one girl's face told me she didn't know I said "peanuts". I don't know why she would think I said "penis". I had on a red apron. A Kiwanis hat. A Kiwanis collection can and I am holding 3 or 4 bags of peanuts. I changed my spiel to- "Would you like to make a donation to our Kiwanis club"?

Oh back to your question- sponsors. Yes. The boy scouts and girl scouts require the troop to be sponsored. It almost always is a Lions, Rotary or other service organization. I have seen churches be the sponsor as well.

beast (27-Apr) : Not sure anyone is interested in Isaiah Simmons... Collin Oliver might of taken his potential slot
beast (27-Apr) : I'm going with Jax Ulbrich is not telling the whole truth... he accidentally came across it? Why would a defensive coordinator have a QB #?
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : He's not that great, but final piece of the script.\
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : If we add Isaiah Simmons, book your Super Bowl tickets
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Colts 1st round TE Tyler Warren also got prank called, was that Jax Ulbrich as well?
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Jax Ulbrich, Jeff Ulbrich’s son, released an apology for his role in the Shedeur Sanders prank call.
Martha Careful (27-Apr) : apparently he did not participate in practice or play on the east west shrine game nor the NFL combine. The kid was a mediocre spoiled brat
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Yeah that one that was a super wounded duck that Sanders supporters are highlighting to prove a point
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Shough is the guy who missed guys at combine isn't he?

Zero2Cool (26-Apr) : Yes. Look at the losses last year. They can win.
beast (26-Apr) : Can Packers win with their current DL?
bboystyle (26-Apr) : waiting for a pass rusher.

dfosterf (25-Apr) : 7 minutes between picks in the 2nd round
Martha Careful (25-Apr) : Sorry to bitch, but the headline writers in that section absolutely mislead, or don't know how to read. It is maddening
Martha Careful (25-Apr) : No thanks. Not a dependable guy to be in the right place and run the right route. Dumb as a box of rocks.
Zero2Cool (25-Apr) : Losing 2nd round pick for a one year rental, not ideal. Especially a headcase.
TheKanataThrilla (25-Apr) : Pickens for Jaire may be interesting. Definitely not sure we want Pickens long term.
