Can I just buy some and have her give them to someone?

I don't need them weight wise, and I don't want to pay for shipping, but would like to support the cause.

Can you provide an address to ship them, or if you provided a method to just send a check so that she could get credit, that might be better for many of us, especially us fat asses.

Z2c, the easiest solution is just to provide members with neutral shipping address...perhaps Scarlett's local girl scout headquarters. Then we could designate the packages for her.

Do the Girl Scouts have a sponsor affiliation like Target or Walmart. Perhaps CVS or Walgreens are supporting retailers. I seem to recall seeing in the past where Girl Scout Troops would set up a sales table at a retailer and staff it with Girl Scouts selling their fine products. The Store gets good public relations and the Scouts benefit with sales. Weekends were when I believe I remember that they would appear. Door to Door sales is hard and can be, in some cases, dangerous.

When girls scouts, boy scouts and other organizations ask, some local businesses allow them set up camp so to speak. Some use tables. Some just stand there. Depending on the size of the store and the weather they may let them come inside out of the elements. Others let them work the crowd by the front doors. I hawked peanuts for Kiwanis outside the local grocery store many times. Last year I went to a local Lowes and got boy scout popcorn. I have contributed to girls scouts in a few towns in the area.

When I did the peanuts it was usually a Saturday afternoon in Sept. It can get pretty warm. I learned to make sure I wasn't dry mouth when I talked. I asked a couple of 20 something girls if they wanted some peanuts. The shocked look on the one girl's face told me she didn't know I said "peanuts". I don't know why she would think I said "penis". I had on a red apron. A Kiwanis hat. A Kiwanis collection can and I am holding 3 or 4 bags of peanuts. I changed my spiel to- "Would you like to make a donation to our Kiwanis club"?

Oh back to your question- sponsors. Yes. The boy scouts and girl scouts require the troop to be sponsored. It almost always is a Lions, Rotary or other service organization. I have seen churches be the sponsor as well.
