Yeah. People who fail drug tests aren't exactly "Packer people."

Now if his arm was about to fall off, we'd draft him with a 1st round pick.

Please, the points system is out dated and everyone knows this already.

I will agree the 12 and 18 is too much for JUST the 9. It would take the 9 and 41 and that would be pushing it.

The more likely switch would be their 18 and 48 for our 9.

It's going to be dicey for Denver. It's obvioulsy going to take both firsts if they go as low as Cleveland or even Oakland. Then again, if they hold out until our pick they pretty much have to deal with us or Sanchez won't make it past the 49'rs.

It looks to me like we will have them by the short hairs if it does happen to get to us so that has to be considered. I think 12 and 48 for the 9 would be looking pretty good to them if it gets to that point. It also looks a heck of a lot better than both firsts so it's a question of how late they hold out.

I don't think Freeman is the guy for Denver or the Jets in their offenses so we have them sitting back there maybe trying to leap Denver as well.

Do the bears have any good receivers? Sounds like the GM of the bears is really excited about the trade.

Well to be honest i don't see Denver worry about drafting a qb this year. They did get Orton. Next year you will have the better qb class coming out, so why does everyone think Denver will push to go after a qb (this they made sure they got a qb back in the trade)

But it is fun to fantasize about.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Now Ted Thompson and MM have something to worry about - a better bears team. Hopefully this will motivate Ted Thompson to pick some good players in the draft and sign needed players in the FA.

Cant wait for the pack/bears games this year

Yeah, how big is that season opener now, on national tv???

I could quite possibly be even more jacked up and nervous than last year, and I thought I was going to have a heart attack then.

We are born naked, wet and hungry. Then things get worse.

They got Kyle Orton as insurance in the event they don't get the QB they want in the draft. If they can get Sanchez they will do it. He can run that offense and if the opportunity presents itself you can bet they will jump.

They didn't make this deal because they are going to be happy with Orton at QB. They made it because they got the best deal they could get for Cutler vs. waiting until draft day and now that they know what they have they know what they can give.

Orton aint the steak in this deal. He's the potato and your not going to sit on a guy like that HOPING you MIGHT get in a position to get a QB down the road.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with you on this one.

Denver is in total rebuild the defense mode and Orton and Simms are serviceable. I would not be surprised if Denver took a rb in round one.

I think our trading partner is the Jets. We already have their third, we might as well take their second too.

Orton is NOT the future of Denver. They'd be wise to draft a QB this year, let him ride the pine and learn for a year then unleash the competition. It also gives them a chance to upgrade their defense.

This is not a make it or break it year for the Bronco's. If you feel theres a good QB ready to be had while you have the ammo to move up and get him, you do it. It's common sense.

It makes sense for the Bronco's to draft a QB this year and ride the Orton train for the season. Whether they draft a QB or not, I see Orton starting all games for the Bronco's unless injured.

Zero2Cool (5h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (8h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (8h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (10h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (10h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (10h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (10h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (10h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (10h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (10h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (10h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (10h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (10h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (10h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (10h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (11h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (12h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (12h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (12h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland

Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
