That's why you have play Kizer the last 2 games to help evaluate whether the kid can be the guy. If he isn't I am suggesting the kid from Duke Daniel Jones, is the guy. 6'5" great arm, pro-style offense, and use to playing against opponents with better talent than his team has....just like 12.

I don't want them to reach for a QB. They need to let the draft come to them. But if a guy falls a bit and is clearly the best player on the board in the first or second round, I don't see how they can pass. What if they find and develop ANOTHER franchise QB? If nothing else, they need a back up that can come in and win some games when Rodgers is hurt, and possibly even push him a bit, which would probably bring the best out in him.

I'd rather not draft a QB whose rookie contract will be expired before he gets to play....

Kizer is just 22 years old, turning 23 next month. I'm still surprised by this and I am not sure why. Some reason, I thought he was 25 or older.

With respect to ANY teams offensive, when I see a QB scrambling out of the pocket on most passing plays, I draw the following conclusions.

1. The offensive line is not protecting the QB. or
2. The eligible receivers are not getting open. or
3. The opposing defenses have the advantage of correctly predicting just what the offense is trying to do. or
4. For some reason the QB is not playing at 100% either physically or mentally.

Correcting one or more of these conditions can help improve offensive performance.
