I don't agree with this assessment. Bill Belichick was historically a defensive-minded coach, yet when he was gifted Tom Brady, he became an offensive genius. I think I'd rather bring in a hard-nosed defensive-oriented coach who has the self-confidence to delegate offensive playcalling duties to an assistant and has the charisma and vision to oversee the entire team. Forge a stingy, punishing defense that stifles opposing offenses, and Aaron Rodgers doesn't have to play like a god to carry this team week after week.
