It's the offense. It's Rodgers. It's McCarthy. We need a change.

Because they are exhausted because the offense has not been able to take advantage when the D is dominating. It seems when our D dominates the offense sabotages them with three and outs so they get tired and start letting points on the board.

Look at that fucking goal line stand. BOOM. But I mean, how many times can a defense be reasonably expected to hold in goal line situations?

And that roughing call. BOOM. Right back out there as if nothing happened. All that fucking hard work and effort, for NOTHING.

And yet they still come out fighting.

Another thing about the D and a potential head coaching change: if Pettine is retained, will he be allowed to bring in his own guys? Remember, all the position coaches are leftovers from the Capers D.

4 of the 9 defensive coaches are new to the Packers ... though they've all switched up what they do to some degree.

Defensive Coordinator Mike Pettine (new to Packers)
Associate Head Coach/Linebackers Winston Moss (now OLB coach (I think) former ILB/LB coach)

Defense - Run Game Coordinator/Inside Linebackers Patrick Graham (new to Packers)
Defense - Pass Game Coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. (former CB coach)

Secondary Jason Simmons (former Asst ST coach)
Defensive Line Jerry Montgomery (former Asst DL coach)
Assistant Defensive Line Jay Hayes (new to Packers)
Defensive Assistant Scott McCurley (former Asst LB coach)
Defensive Quality Control Ryan Downard (new to Packers / worked for Pettine under Browns)

Our defense holds them, forces 4th and 21, and a stupid mistake by special teams puts our defense back on the field right away.
Then the fumble by Jones blows the chance to take the lead.
You can’t expect the defense to stop a good team over and over. Towards the end of the game, our D was gassed and they had to feel like “geez, how many times do we have to do this, with nothing to show for it?”

Hopefully it won’t be like that time we lost that good D coordinator after one year during the end of the Sherman era.
