I take this comment as he doesn't expect to be resigned so he is going to play hard since he is in a contract year. It's just early in the year to state that kind of thing publicly. No worries. I'll be happy when he is gone.

Yes Steve, he has the right to say whatever he wants.
I have the right to think he would have been classy to keep that between himself, his agent and the Packers organization.
As I said, it’s ONLY my opinion.
In the big scheme of things, my opinion means nothing in this case.
He is going to do what he is going to do. I know he doesn’t care about my opinion.

I didn't like his comment but I liked how he explained it which basically that he's in a contract year and his future is up in the air this is the biggest job interview ever and he's got to be fully prepared.

So how he said it sucked, but I completely agree with his final point, and he didn't discount that he could potentially be back with the Pack but with 31 other teams and the odd might be against that.

My OPINION is that it would have shown more class to keep the feeling he won’t be here to himself. What if the Packers DO want to keep him? And he’s going around saying otherwise?
That alone might get a guy shipped out.
And I said he had the right to say what he did. I just felt it wasn’t classy to do so.
I’m not going to explain it to you again. If you don’t get it now, you never will.

And lastly, I am NOT “shitting” on the guy. I actually (unlike some here) LIKE HaHa. I would have felt like this even if it was Rodgers saying it.

The worst comment was when he insulted someone's daughter. That's like 5th grade maturity. Not the type of leader I would prefer.

It gets frustrating after awhile when I explain myself over and over and you keep attacking my opinion.
I don’t see my response as snarky, I see it as my showing a HUGE amount of patience towards a poster that is just being pissy towards me.
You have the right to your opinion, and believe it or not, I have a right to mine.

Now, go troll someone else, ok?
You have made it obvious that you just want to harass me. Why, I don’t know.
I have been on this site many years, and for the most part get along with the majority of posters.
I “allow” people to have opinions in cases where there is no right or wrong answer.
Why don’t you try to do that?

I expected more than knee-jerk reactions from veteran posters on this group. Jesus Christ, guys.

This was taken WAY out of context.

He was simply saying what he thought about his job security considering he watched Tramon Williams, Damarious Randall, Morgan Burnett, Casey Hayward, and Micah Hyde all be shown the door -- and each of them probably had more splash plays than he did in his tenure in Green Bay.

I see this as a way to motivate him. He's not throwing the fucking season away. He leads the team in passes defended and intercepted for heaven's sake.

Like I said previously, I like the guy.
To me, he’s doing pretty good.
I hope he keeps producing for us.
It’s not like we have an over abundance of good defensive backs .

(in my opinion )He completely checked out (and still was 2nd in tackles on the team) last season. I just don't think he's what a defense needs from free safety.

He would probably be better off playing closer to the line. He can be helluva physical guy when he wants to be. I just don't see the commitment in every game, let alone every play or majority of plays. I also question if he's going to lose his motivation once he gets a four year deal. Is he going to work harder to earn it or is he going to be complacent? To be fair, this can be said about most players.

I prefer players who don't say they are OK with making mistakes. It just comes off foul to me. That's a really fine line though because you don't want guys to dwell on a mistake either. He did say something that I feel he's more in the ballpark of "mistakes happen, just don't let it happen again".

beast (8-Jan) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (8-Jan) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
