Helicopters over Lambeau left cops 'scrambling'

Two helicopters that appeared over Lambeau Field after a first quarter touchdown were unplanned and were two U.S. Navy aircraft making a "side trip," according to a Green Bay police commander.

I honestly don't have a clue, but I thought since 9/11 they made it against federal law to fly so close to stadiums without prior approval? Is this correct?

I mean they were Navy, and I've been told sometimes the federal government is allowed to break certain federal laws, but I'm just wondering if the pilots might get in trouble or an ass chewing. Probably not.

From my experience, the pilots are going to get an ass chewing (and maybe a little trouble, but not too serious) because they attracted media attention.

If it turns out they weren't complying with air traffic controller directions then they will get in serious trouble.
