A lot of guys want to exit the game on their own terms. It is hard to give up the fame and the money. Heck guys like Steve Young and Troy Aikmen were both super rich, with NFL rings and were guaranteed Hall Of Famers and they had a hard time letting go after numerous concussions.

I watched a show about extreme athletes and traumatic brain injuries, the people they interviewed were big jump snowboarders and skiiers that you'd normally see at the xgames. However I think football players definitely can fit this category as well.

Basically what they found is that after a major brain injury these athletes became more willing to take risks which often led to more brain injuries. Which led to them taking more risks etc basically I think it becomes a self feeding cycle that the athlete has trouble breaking. Some of the athletes interviewed ended up dieing from a tbi even as their family begged them to quit their sport.

After enough concussions I don't think a player should be allowed back in the league and teams need to enforce that, because some of these guys can't make the decision for themselves.

I wish him the best of luck, he won't see alot of the field and will most likely be a slot corner. With Talib and Peters on the outside I think this was a good chance for both parties.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I’ve had several concussions in my life. The last was in 2013 when I was walking in a parking lot and was hit by a car. I flew 22 feet and hit my head on the pavement.
I have had serious trouble with short term memory since then.
Of course I can’t prove that was what caused it, but there wasn’t anything else during that time.

It’s true though, many older people don’t even realize they have the loss. I KNOW I have the problem. And it really ticks me off. It’s very frustrating when it’s happening to you on a daily, (many times hourly) basis.
I get angry at myself.
I used to always be on top of things. Now I can plug in the coffee reheater, walk away, and only realize it’s on when it’s boiling over and it stinks of burnt coffee. I have to be really careful.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
