Agreed.

RBs tend to have a "max carries" to them. When you start throwing 350+ carries a year at a RB, he breaks down faster. I'd much rather have Grant with 245 carries and 1100 yards and Jackson with 100 carries and 400-500 yards than Grant with 1600 yards. Will prolong Grant's career.

Lets get jackson more plays thou - and wynn (is he healthy?)

You like Wynn and Jackson more than Grant? I can understand liking Jackson but he has not done nearly as much as Grant and he has had as many chances. Wynn was decent for a bit but is far too injury prone. Grant is the better short yard runner and can hit the home run better than Wynn and Jackson.

Yeah, Wynn is chronically unreliable. Fun to watch when healthy, but that's the thing - when healthy.

Jackson I don't think we see enough of. In 2008, I kept wondering why we weren't giving more carries to Jackson because he was definitely looking better than Grant was last year.

I'm still holding out hope for Wynn. I see flashes of the Human Wrecking-ball, a.k.a. Maurice Jones Drew, in Wynn. Hopefully he can get some sense knocked into him, actually grow a pair, and begin to make defenders cringe when thinking about having to take him down.

"IF" we can get an O-line that can open a FEW holes, I think any of the backs we have right now can be really good.
I HATE that "zone blocking" crap. It hasn't worked.......period.
They tried it, it didn't work, scrap it and get back to basics. If we do that, we can have a powerful running game, which of course then takes the pressure off AR, and gives him more time to find an open WR.

Cheesey, I think Josh Sitton is the first step in that direction.

I'm still standing by my prediction for Ryan Grant. 🙂

I really like Wynn, but I find it appalling for a pro football player to get winded as easily as he does. I don't remember the game, but it looked like he was pulling the plow down the sideline. I think it was the Lions game in Lambeau.

I like Jackson. He has run ability, and can catch the ball better than Grant, IMO. The biggest thing I have seen missing for the Packers is the RB passing, the screens. Grant had 312 rushes and 18 catches. I think it was to simple for defenses to figure out. Grant in, probably not a pass so go after Rodgers.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
