I'm expecting big things from Mr Grant this year. With having a full season of umm off season under his belt, I'm expecting him to come out guns a blazing. There were several times last year towards the end that I felt I saw him running with that same POW, right in the kisser mentality and a little bit of that excellent burst we saw the half season prior.

I'm thinking he'll hit around 14 TD's and 1,650 if he stays healthy this year.

I agree!

He's got all the size and abillity one would like to see in a back who runs in a Zone Scheme. We saw him get better and better as the year went on and I think working through a whole off season getting his timing down is gonna allow him to EXPLODE this year. Were sure to see some of those Big breaks that we saw so often during 07 :)

Heres to a running attack reminiscent of 2003! Jackson, Grant, and Wynn, Lead the way!

Are we ditching the zone crap blocking scheme? I sure hope so and get back to what works in the Green Bay winters. Grant should have a decent year if he can stay healthy. But i see more of a 2 back system and also some form of wildcat hopefully.

Oh hell who am i kidding MM is still coach so we will probably hear alot of the we need better pad level crap again this year.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Well, I don't know if he'll reach those numbers. To me, it just seems like common sense to go with a multiple back backfield. I mean, we have Grant, Jackson, Wynn and Lumpkin who showed some good things before he got injured.

I think he will be the leading rusher with 1100 Yards with 4.5 YPC. That would come to 245 carries. Still alot, like I asume McCarthy will do anyway, but that leaves something for the other 3 backs aswell.

Grant has that ability, provided the Oline gets going. I am of the belief that the running game working in 07' was due to the coming together and clicking. Same with 08'. When the running game worked, it was because of the Oline.

Grant is not a RB that will make something out of nothing, he is dependent on the line. He doesn't need the biggest holes, but he needs enough.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Well, the offensive line needs to get better....this is one reason that Andre Smith would be good in the draft, he's a good run blocker.

I think Grant will get back to his '07 ways this year, going through a full offseason, and HOPEFULLY (knock on wood) he won't get injured again this year.

Also, I think we should pick up a good speedy back in the draft somewhere around the 5th - 7th round to come in on 3rd downs or passing situations so we can hit him on a screen...

nah brandon jackson can serve that purpose. no sense wasting a pick on one. we should focus on depth at the o line position that time in the draft. unlike last year when we took a qb and a wr

Agreed.

RBs tend to have a "max carries" to them. When you start throwing 350+ carries a year at a RB, he breaks down faster. I'd much rather have Grant with 245 carries and 1100 yards and Jackson with 100 carries and 400-500 yards than Grant with 1600 yards. Will prolong Grant's career.
