I don't care for the term "homer". It has gotten too derogatory these days like it is some kind of disease that needs to be irradiated.

There is nothing wrong with people who have a more optimistic/hopeful point of view. Let them. They don't need to be corrected. They don't need to be shown the error of their way. They need to support the team of their choice in the manner they see fit.

We can certainly enjoy a discussion without attacking each other or try to rob their joy of a sporting event. After all, when the game is over nothing in our lives will have changed. Not unless you put a bundle on the game.

I also like the Gamblers for homer reasons, they are my local Hockey team.

But there are a few and not just on this site that use the term Homer to mean the fan isn't smart enough to realize the short comings for their team.

I posted the definition and my understanding of the term and context for how I operate and not a word was specifically said about that post. Just generalizations. It's like what I said wasn't said and it's been moved back to this mystery status so one could keep alleging how awful I am.

That post should've explained everything and should've stopped all this finger pointing. Don't you understand my perspective is built on an actual definition and isn't being done with malice?

It's as though it's all being avoided.

You don't like the term? I can understand but it doesn't change it's meaning. It doesn't mean someone is better than someone else. It means what it means and there's not much more to it. The belligerent portion of the definition applies perfectly to what I experience when I speak to what homerism even means or what it inhibits a person from.

In the end,all I've done is applied a term per it's definition and taken a lot of vitriol for it's self contained definition truth. Not wrong. Not mean. Not arrogant. Not negative. Just the truth like I've maintained all along. Not a liar, either.

Somewhere you would think there'd be an acknowledgement of my perspective as being from a place of truth not some mean agenda but that would be too much to ask. Wouldn't want anyone to feel bad that they mercilessly gotten me wrong over and over.

What twist of the truth will happen next? Can't wait to read how I'm still awful and I'm wrong about everything.

In the end all you have done is say your better than others. (Because being more objective is better, is it not?).

Your issue isn't with me it's with the truth of the term.

Why do you incessantly allege that I think I'm better? I know I'm not a homer that's all there is to it. If you feel convicted by any part of the definition that has everything to do with you and nothing to do with me. I posted the truth and context for my actions. The way you need to spin it or perceive it is on you.

Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
