One point he makes that stuck out. Imagine Aaron Rodgers with Jaguars defense. They have the money too.

These can be interesting fantasies, but in reality it is just foolishness. Are the Packers just going to let Rodgers go, no so he wouldn't be able to get to the Jags until 2020. Where was the Jags defense the previous 3 seasons, I'm a points guy so they were 26th, 31st and 25th. No telling where they will be next year or in 3 years. Another thing, this year the Jags are paying 52% of their salary cap on the defensive side in comparison the Packers are paying 39%. What would their defense be like if they had to carry the 20Million salary of Rodgers. Then do they expect him to just hand off to Fournette the entire game? If not they better plan on spending some of that salary cap on better receiving weapons.

I've been of the idea that Next year is probably the best "window" for the packers to go "all in". and if Rodgers and Matthews and Cobb go all in also making their contracts more cap friendly we could easily open 15+ million to upgrade positions of need.

The defense needs about 3 pieces minimum, we need a TE after this year, and a WR with Jordy fading and continual problems with people getting open. Selling out for a win next year isn't going to get us dramatically closer to a super bowl than the team we have now - the defense has too many holes and the team doesn't have what it takes to consistently win against top-end teams unless Rodgers is playing great. And you need to be able to win postseason games when your quarterback plays only okay.

We need to create Pass rush and we need help at CB. Add a FA DE/DT that can pass rush and Top CB and we make the defense drastically better. If Rodgers, Cobb, Matthews, Nelson all work their contracts we have the ability to bring in some good FA, without mortgaging the future. Making our "All In" window, a 2-3 year opening.

If we wait another year or two, draft a few and try to develop, in the mean time other players will age and need to be replaced. The odds of the draft falling where the best player when we pick being at the positions where we need to improve the most isn't very good. Take Money and bring in GOOD FA at the positions we need so They can Draft the Best Player, not just the best player at a position of need. All we are not improving by just drafting and develop.

Uh oh... another Favre styled scenario on tap for the organization? Oh, you think we control his rights. Yes. However, he can make it very very uncomfortable for us. I hope he demands we blow it up, privately, if he's going to stay. I think it's time for something like that. This time it won't be about retirement, it'll be about organizational ineptness. 12 has taken some subtle shots at management over the years as he's tried remaining a touch classy.

I hope he rejects an extension if this regime is offering it.

Oh, sure...we can play tag with him. He can also decide to play like Aaron from 2015 and have all that bad body language. Could be headed for a major shockwave throughout our org. Curious if Cowherd's thought catches on? It likely won't here with our media as it is among the softest and most sycophantic I've ever seen but, perhaps, nationally, the voices will get louder and louder until a crescendo leading to...CHANGE!

It still floors me to hear those talk about how long it will take if we blow things up to get back. We could have an easy next year turnaround. The Saints turned their D around in one offseason. They got Lattimore...we got Kevin King. Yikes. Things change quickly in the NFL...just look at us. Once talked about as favorites in the NFC and entire NFL, and now we're a joke, an afterthought so much so that my posting on being flexed out of SNF showed itself on NFL.com. Rosenthal said NFL might want to get rid of us at Pittsburgh for a much better game. We have fallen...far.

Without Rodgers we see how bad things really are. Even with him, you see how much he's had to cover up for. Isn't it time for a regime that won't leave him having to cover up for as much as this one has left? Do you see it now? All those years of making the playoffs could've been so much more than that had we had better underpinning his greatness. Aaron overcame the weaknesses...sadly, the org should be using the rest of the roster to amplify Aaron not drag him down so he can only get us to the playoffs.

See it? See what we've been doing all these years saddling 12 with a burden so big that championships are almost impossible. Yet, he's so great he's been able to carry this crap show forward into the playoffs year after year while few ever noticed that it could be and should be so much better.

Change! It is the ONLY way.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

It was what we did when we Drafted Jordy and I remember how many people were complaining because we had Driver, Jennings and Jones at the time.

What needs to be done now is to continue to draft and develop but fill in with Good FA.

Yes Rodgers should leave, so we can start over from scratch like all the other NFC North teams have so we can have more non-playoffs season more often, because that's somehow good...?

beast (1h) : I was rooting for the Bears to win and hurt their draft pick status
Zero2Cool (1h) : Forgot there was even a game last night haha
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : That was terrible.
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : Watching that game in its entirety yesterday is proof positive that I am a football addict.
beast (1h) : And horrible time management multiple times... and not being able to score more than 3 points on a team with talent
beast (1h) : Realizing the Bears didn't fix it from the previous week and do the same thing, getting the game to overtime
beast (1h) : They probably are not tanking, but they've absolutely mismanagement some things, such as Vikings seeing the Packers blocked FG and realizing
Zero2Cool (2h) : Crazy of Bears to have that mindset that is
Zero2Cool (3h) : Hail Mary stop away from 5 - 2. Not sure how that flips to tanking. Crazy mindset if true
beast (3h) : I've quietly questioned if Bears are tanking on purpose... they suddenly got a lot worse with some simple concepts like 101 clock management
wpr (5h) : Watching bares fans melt down over how putrid their team is, so enjoyable. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
Mucky Tundra (13h) : The Seattle Seahawks defeat the Chicago Bears 6-3. Jason Myers had 6 RBIs for Seattle while Cairo Santos had 3 RBI for Chicago
beast (13h) : Not nessarily, he might of been injured either way. He's playing about 50% of the games the last 4 years
Zero2Cool (20h) : If they'd been more patient with him, he'd be back already. Putting him out there vs Bears caused him to tweak it and here we are.
packerfanoutwest (20h) : well this is his last season with the PAck, book it
beast (21h) : Sounds like no Alexander (again), I'm wondering if his time with the Packers is done
Zero2Cool (26-Dec) : Could ban beast and I still don't think anyone catches him.
Mucky Tundra (26-Dec) : Houston getting dog walked by Baltimore
packerfanoutwest (25-Dec) : Feliz Navidad!
Zero2Cool (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas!
beast (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
beast (24-Dec) : Sounds like no serious injuries from the Saints game and Jacobs and Watson should play in the Vikings game
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : both games Watson missed, Packers won
Martha Careful (24-Dec) : I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (24-Dec) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (23-Dec) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (23-Dec) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I see what you did there Mucky
