When Matt Flynn came into a game, he didn't suck. He damn near beat the Patriots.
Under 100 yards passing won't win you many games. Unless you have a killer defense....which we don't.

You mean the Brett Hundley that so many Packer fans thought should be traded for a first round draft pick? That Brett Hundley?

I fail to understand how fans can consistently over value the players on their team. I did when I was young but I got over it quick.

THe question I have about Hundley is his accuracy from mid-to deep range. But was this a function of not being in sync with these guys, not being up to normal game speed, or just innaccuracy?

We need to let him sync up and get up to speed. Only then will we know if he's just missing guys.

That deep INT looked to me more like a miscommunication than anything.

He took the snap dropped back and heaved it as far as a he could without once checking to see where Bennett was. He had no idea if Bennett was going to be there or not. While Bennett did slow up and look back when he got to the 50, the ball was 5 yards over his head when Vaccaro made the catch in full stride reaching out as far as he could. No way Bennett ever makes that catch even 10 years ago.

At best Hundley was hoping against hope for PI not a completion.

So you know, I am not mad at Hundley, Mikey or the defense. The moment Aaron went down the Packer season ended. I don't get mad or yell at the tv when a play goes awry. That's the new reality for GB. In 1/1000th of a second they went from a SB contender to the Cleveland Browns in drag.

I didn't get home until halftime so I didn't see the first half of the game. It's still on my dvr. Maybe I will watch it if there is nothing else on tv.

I'm not saying there isn't potential hope, I just saw no sign of it in that game. I kept thinking their would be at least two deep passes that gave hope he could put it in a good spot for a WR... And it just didn't come.

As much as I realize the Packers are in serious trouble right now, the talk comparing them to the Browns is ridiculous. Even if Huntley keeps playing the way he is.

Good coaches shoulder the blame rather than throwing the young guy under the bus. That's what McCarthy is doing here, taking one on the chin rather than state the obvious: Hundley didn't deliver.

I would like to know when the quarterback Whisperer Mike McCarthy comes into the hot seat. Three years invested...developing...planning.... coaching Hundley and this is all the quarterback Guru can come up with? It looked like a shit show Sunday and Mike McCarthy did nothing to help the young gun out. I guess it is easy to look like a QB god when you're coaching Aaron Rodgers not a mere mortal in the position.

In 2016 the Browns were 1-15 with 16.5 points/game scored and 25.3 points/game allowed.

The Packers lost the last game by a score of 26-17. This is 2.3 points scored over the Brown's average scored this season and 1.9 points allowed over the Brown's average this season. With a sample size of one, the Packers are outperforming the Browns with possibly the worst performance this team has put up this century. This is status quo for the Browns.

The only possible way you can say that the Packers will be as bad as the Browns is if you expect this exact same performance from the entire team (not just Huntley) for the rest of the year, and for this to carry into subsequent seasons under the hypothetical scenario where Huntley stayed starter the entire time and into next season. I don't feel like I should need to explain any further why this hypothetical is ludicrous and even if nothing changed on the roster or coaching staff and we continued to play like we did last week, how the Packers would outperform the Browns in every meaningful metric.

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.

Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
