Like all to many , Offense is your one and only area of focus . Also in the spirit of the thread , you have not even graded that 1/3 rd of the total Packers team .

Getting defensive over a simple statement of fact is not necessary. Discussion is greatly appreciated , yet being rude is just not called for . If grading the Packers is not your bag , just say so. [cheers]

Averaging my grades for all 3 of the Packers team disciplines , I gave the overall grade of B- .
My evaluation takes into account injuries as well as the general fact that most teams do get better as their season moves forward .

At this time I am most concerned about the CB's on the Defense and the Right/Left Offensive Tackles . Injuries and back-ups for Starters has revealed a certain lack of depth and challenged some players to step up and earn their paychecks . In addition , the GM has been more active this season in the FA market looking for replacement players .

By mid-season I hope to be able to raise my grades upward in direct proportion to an improved Packer team . I expect to see better QB / WR timing , a better O-line with the return of all #1 O-line Starters , and I hope to see a healthy (CB) in House return to full duty as (CB) King is turning knowledgeable heads across the league . Also I hope that (RB) Aaron Jones is stepping up beyond all of our original expectations . [thumbup]

Wow Zero , I see more in your post just grades . Your dislike of FB's is as apparent as your approval of three LB's . Names with just grades and no explanations . I suppose that one could research and read all of your past post , but most will not do that . Your micro view is in stark contrast to my macro view .

If you can find the time to expand upon your evaluations , it might be easier to understand the grades you've attached to players .

Do you have an overall grade for the first quarter of the Packer's season ?

[cheers]

I gotta agree with Smokey on this one, for how banged up the Packers are they're 3-1 and look as good as anyone in the NFC. Pretty harsh grades considering.

Edit: I'd give the Offense a B- or B and the defense a B+ or A-

I'm also the pot calling the kettle black here and I'm fully aware of it. e.g. when I ask for game by game early predictions, I'm wanting game by game break down W/L not some pansy 11-5 post and ditch.

I looked at ProFootballFocus for my grades and raised/lowered them as I saw fit.

Speaking of evolution and morphing topics. You asked for grades, I provided player by player grades and you took my FB grade as I dislike FB's. Where did I say that? I gave a grade, thus, I dislike them? See, now we have another discussion.

You're more tight on staying inherently on to the exact topic than I am!! (btw, that's not really a good thing, lol)

As I recall from some of your past postings , you don't like Ripkowski and never liked John Kuhn either . That was one point from the past that I recall that you (Zero) have posted on . A fact , not a way for me to step up and knock that chip off of your shoulder .

I offered some support for the grades that I offered . You get defensive like someone that has lost at marriage and transferred that hurt into being over defensive when anyone challenges you to expand or support your case . Calling names like "pansy" and looking for a way to throw mud is taking the low road , rather than offering a more pleasant reply . Some , like my father , would send all in the house , off in any direction just to not be in the same room when he was angry . So if you intend to call names , and get defensive when questioned or your position is not supported , stop and consider that narrowing a morphing topic can sharpen the focus of a picture to better see the true picture .

I'd like to read why you graded as you did , but you can look for sinister ulterior motives if that is your mood .

Zero2Cool (3h) : Former Packers QB Brett Favre recently announced he was diagnosed with Parkinson's.
Zero2Cool (4h) : The only QBs this season with 0 turnover-worthy plays according to PFF (minimum 30 dropbacks) Aaron Rodgers Malik Willis Justin Fields
Mucky Tundra (22h) : @DavidBearmanPFN · 18h Vegas has watched Will Levis for 3 weeks and installed them as a 1-point favorite in Miami next week. Let that sink
Mucky Tundra (23h) : Martha, they did play much better with Dalton yesterday
Zero2Cool (23-Sep) : Test results on Sam Darnold’s knee showed a knee bruise and no structural damage. He is not expected to miss any time.
Martha Careful (23-Sep) : Not with Dalton apparently
Mucky Tundra (23-Sep) : Not sure what to make of the NFC South so far this season (outside of the Panthers being a dumpster fire)
Mucky Tundra (22-Sep) : of course I say that and then they overturn that play that put them on the 49ers 2 yard line
Mucky Tundra (22-Sep) : *without
Mucky Tundra (22-Sep) : Even with Nacua and Kupp out, Rams looking fiesty on offense

Zero2Cool (22-Sep) : Malik to start. Love inactive. Per report. Let's go!!
buckeyepackfan (22-Sep) : I think J-10VE will be inactive, a little twist that could be put in is run a wildcat with Wicks at qb. Have him as emergency qb if needed.
Zero2Cool (21-Sep) : I think that's how it works.
Zero2Cool (21-Sep) : I'd go 3 QB regardless this game.
Zero2Cool (21-Sep) : Clifford was elevated, not activated. He doesn't play, it doesn't count.
hardrocker950 (21-Sep) : If Clifford is active, not likely to see Jordan play this weekend
Mucky Tundra (21-Sep) : QB Sean Clifford and CB Robert Rochell elevated from the PS for the Titans game
Zero2Cool (20-Sep) : Love questionable. Morgan is out. Valentine is doubtful
Martha Careful (20-Sep) : Rodgers and Lazard off to a very strong start
Zero2Cool (19-Sep) : Josh Jacobs. Limited.
Zero2Cool (19-Sep) : Can't find anything on Jacobs :(
wpr (19-Sep) : Do you know if they gave Jacobs an extra day off? I hope so.
Zero2Cool (19-Sep) : WR Jayden Reed (calf) and G Elgton Jenkins (illness/glute) returned after sitting out Wednesday.
Zero2Cool (19-Sep) : Packers are in pads and so is Jordan Love. Second straight day of practice for QB1.
bboystyle (18-Sep) : If Love comes back, we win in a blow out
Zero2Cool (18-Sep) : Jordan Love just spoke with reporters and said he’s giving himself the week but hopeful to play Sunday against the Titans.
Zero2Cool (18-Sep) : Practicing is Jordan Love!
Zero2Cool (18-Sep) : Packers are signing WR Cornelius Johnson to the Practice Squad per sources. Johnson was a 7th round pick this year.
Zero2Cool (17-Sep) : Packers placed RB MarShawn Lloyd on injured reserve.
Zero2Cool (16-Sep) : Rams won’t have Cooper Kupp or Puka Nacua when they host the Packers in Week 5.

Mucky Tundra (16-Sep) : The Red Rifle Returns!
Zero2Cool (16-Sep) : Panthers are benching former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young and starting veteran Andy Dalton beginning this week.
Mucky Tundra (16-Sep) : bears still have slim chance here
Mucky Tundra (16-Sep) : and there's another one!
Mucky Tundra (16-Sep) : oh crap macbob has the Texans K and he keeps hitting these long FGs
Mucky Tundra (15-Sep) : Hope the Texans beat the brakes off the Bears
Zero2Cool (15-Sep) : LaFleur: “I asked Malik why he didn’t throw it on that third down and he told me Josh threw up on the ball.”
