If we have one of the great defensive minds in football, and you look at the things shared here, you'd have to conclude these things are happening to accommodate a lack of talent on defense. What other reason could there possibly be?

Something I hate that goes along with what you are saying is when we bring a blitz of some sort but the CB are playing like 6-8ish yards off the WR so if the QB saw the blitz he's got an easy completion without even giving the rush a chance. Also the amount of times we play nickel or dime against heavy formations and get gashed in the run against teams with a good running game.

Since there is a blitz, there is at least one less defender in pass coverage so the openings are bigger, I'd give up 6 yards to prevent 20.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Sometimes it's like an aggressive looking scheme that is also trying to play it safe. Just basically letting the offense have easy stuff and hoping they make a mistake. That's why they can look so dominant against young or bad QBs and then get shredded by competent ones.

Good coaches can help their players execute more consistently than bad coaches, and put them in position to succeed more often than bad coaches. The two can't be separated. Chicken and egg.

We need horses. Plain and simple. Dom is a 67 year old man. Would be nice to have someone a little more relatable to the young athlete.

I see now that the great Damarious Randall is actually listed as the starter opposite House. Boy, didn't Davon really earn that #1 CB spot this TC and pre-season? LOL

God help us with Damarious Randall as a starting CB in this league.

Perhaps, the starter opposite House will change 2 or 3 more times before we hit the field. Whomever it is is on the shortest leash imaginable.

No, I'm not meaning to directly comparing the two... but in general, we can say that about a lot of young players... some of which completely bust out, and some that later become pretty good like TJ Lang and Aaron Rodgers as well as others.

dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care

Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Simmons put up an emoji with cheese.
