Mike McCarthy said Murphy was having “a heckuva camp,” before practice... and Bulaga injured his ankle during practice (THANKS 🇲🇲 ! [assho] )... no word on how bad Bulaga's ankle might be (yet).

Murphy has been practicing as #2 RT and Sprigg as #2 LT, but they split the role of #1 RT after Bulaga got injured with Murphy going first every time.

GREEN BAY – No sooner had Head Coach Mike McCarthy tossed some praise Kyle Murphy’s way than the second-year offensive lineman’s practice duty unexpectedly ramped up.

Starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga limped off Ray Nitschke Field on Wednesday with an ankle injury during 9-on-7 work, elevating Murphy to the No. 1 line for the rest of the workout.

Before practice, McCarthy said Murphy was having “a heckuva camp,” coming off a solid performance in the second preseason game at Washington last Saturday. Now this weekend, he may have quite the spotlight on him.

Nothing has been announced regarding Bulaga’s ankle. But given the Packers’ conservative nature with injuries, particularly during the preseason, there’s a reasonable chance Murphy will be starting at right tackle in Denver on Saturday night, when Green Bay’s top units are expected to get their most extensive in-game work.

Murphy promises to be ready. It’s the nature of the job.

Now missing on Spriggs in that trade up looks really really bad. He was Bakhtiari insurance when he was traded up for. The extension rendered his addition pointless and now when you need him to play RT there isn't a soul out there who believes he could get it done. Time for an UDFA to step in and do better than what our former 1st rounder was doing.

Not sure about you, but I have no faith in Kyle Murphy or Jason Spriggs. It is really sad a 2nd round trade up is an afterthought for RT due to his complete ineptness.

Murphy's gonna be ok. Can probably back up at RG and RT.

Gonna be real harrowing if Denver decides to line up Von Miller over our RT for the fun of it.

I liked Murphy as a G. He was bad at RT against PHI but good last week. Id like to see more of what he can do there but not with Rodgers playing at QB. At least it's not his blind side.

It's fine for Murphy to play RT for Hundley, Callahan or Hill...but I will have concern when Murphy is out there with 12.

beast (5h) : Wow, 95% drop in investment revenue? Would be interesting to hear the details of why...
dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?
