It doesn't need to be said, I know Madden isn't the NFL. That anyway being said, my dad and I have been playing Franchise on Madden. He's Steelers, I'm Packers. He signs whomever can help his team while I am trading players who are about to decline for draft picks. He suggested I sign someone to help my OL and I said "eh, I'm going to pass". Dad says, what, why, he's a 89 overall. I replied "He's already over 30 years old, I'll just one of my extra early draft picks on a Guard and develop him". This made my dad laugh a little bit and he goes "Son, Ted Thompson has gotten to you!" lol ...
The interesting thing about this video game is you have players who regress, progress, suddenly retire, you have to re-sign players and all of this while maintaining a healthy cap while being a successful franchise. Oh, you have to do scouting on players and do a full draft. Knowing the real thing is infinitely more challenging, I have a lot more respect for General Managers and the actual real challenges they face.
Pretty weird how some little goofy video game can encapsulate a fraction of what its like to run an NFL team.
