The Packers WR2 Davante Adams twisted his ankle against the Cowboys and I've seen some say the following.

with it sounding likely Davante will be the 2015 version if he plays at all.

When Adams rolled his ankle, in my opinion, he didn't want to let the team down (see previous items listed) so continued to suit up when he should have been sat. We saw his confidence erode further and further while his QB never stopped believing in him, evidence by the plethora of targets he was getting. Amazingly enough, even with that injury, Adams was consistently getting separation. We should give him credit for that, at least.

So, why is 2016 different? Adams has his confidence back and he now knows how to play while hurt. He knows he doesn't have to be the WR1 for the Packers to win because Cobb is healthy and so is Jared Cook. He simply has to be a threat, and even with a bum ankle, he absolutely will be a threat.

While I admire Adams receiving talent, I feel he's a mental midget of sorts and can't handle the spotlight which was shining bright on him during 2015.

Does your opinion change after Mike McCarthy said if it was a regular season game he would sit him?

What about the tweet that said this just like last year's injury?

Both of those news items would give me pause and make me believe we'll see the 2015 version on Sunday. Just hoping Aaron isn't forcing them into him with the disastrous results from last year.

Most said his injury was the reason he sucked last year. If he has the same injury why change your opinion now? Inconsistent logic. Can't have it both ways. You can disagree with my take but at least it's consistent.

My only hope is Mike McCarthy is pulling a little gamesmanship and he's really just fine. We'll know pretty quickly.

Adams biggest problem last year wasn't confidence. He was running around out there like 2014 AJ Hawk like he was running in a swimming pool with his feet stuck in buckets of cement. Defenders running the route for him at half speed. If the injury leaves him running like that then there's no way he should suit up. I don't necessarily think same kind of injury automatically means exact same result though so if come Saturday he can run and cut on it then yeah we'll need him out there.

Adams will be 100% or close to it.

He went out at beginning of 2nd to last drive and only missed 2 plays [GB did call a TO out after the 1st].

His ankle was taped low, not high-very important! I watch his every movement walking in an out of the huddle, blocking, cutting running, etc. for the rest of game and there was no indication he was injured. During Dallas' last drive, the ankle had some time to stiffen. But, on GB's ensuing drive Adams looked perfectly normal, even failed to show any gimp whatsoever walking in and out of huddle.

I'm sure the ankle was as sore as heck Monday. It is in this weakened condition that the greatest risk to injury is at hand and that is why he is not practicing, also it slows recovery. Adams no doubt got treatment Sunday night, a regiment of compression, massage, elevation, icing, maybe electrical stimulation. I'm sure GB has some anti-gravity treadmills and they may have even used PRP treatments. Those micro tears will heal in a few days. All ankle sprains are not alike!

In 2015, Adams was slowed a bit by his ankle injury; but the stark lack of statistical output was caused by 2 things: (1) when he was healthy his QB stunk; and (2) he was a typical 2nd year WR in MM's system that had not mastered the playbook or mid-play route adjustments causing him not to play as fast on certain plays. Oh, and he'll be playing even faster next year.

From Packer Report's, Bill Huber:

“You trying to see if I’m going to play like last year because of my ankle? I won’t be playing like last year,” he said on Thursday. --- Well, I feel better now that Davante said this. #Sarcasm

"I definitely wouldn’t play if it’s going off comfortability because it’s not going to be comfortable,” Adams said. “It’s just a matter of how much that I can put up with and go out there to where I’m able to be myself and express myself in my routes the way I do and not hurt the team by being out there. So, I’m just going to do what I can to make sure I can be available and then after that we’ll see.”

He didn't have confidence last year (like he does now) and his focus was shot because of how overwhelmed he was with all side stuff from last year.

Morgan Burnett is the one we have to worry about. Adams is going to do his part as he has all season.

BOOK IT BABY!!

Zero2Cool (11h) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (12h) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
