I think maybe Elliot really wants to stay in Green Bay and leveraged SF for a step in obtaining the GM job here.

Or he wasn't going to get it and pulled out of the running.

And apparently got more money in GB... another reason to look elsewhere. Leverage.

It's really hard to tell. Everyone assumes he will be an awesome GM. No one knows for sure
