Using Zero rankings, Lions are 23rd and Packers are 13th overall through 15 games.

Same rankings over last four games.
Lions are 28th overall, 20th in offense and 28th in defense.
Packers are 3rd overall, 1st in offense and 16th in defense.

Aaron Rodgers has played the Lions in Detroit six times and is 5 wins and 1 loss over those six games.

Lions have lost their last two games by 11 and 21 points.
Packers have won their last two games by 3 and 12 points.

All said and done ...

Lions 32
Packers 15

Lions get revenge on the Hail Mary game by winning the division in the same building.

This game isn't gonna be a piece of cake like the Vikings and Bears. Detroit plays tough at home. Stafford has stepped up since losing Megatron.

These guys can play. They deserve to be where we are.

What happens when two irresisitible forces meet very movable objects?

It seems we are headed for a 45-42 game or something like that. For some reason our games against the Lions tend to finish 9-3 or 10-3 in the last years, maybe both teams know each other too well...

So between history and present I think I settle for a normal(ish) score like 23-17 or so....

I think that if we play very aggressive football Rodgers is less prone to mistakes than Stafford, so we can win this thing. If we play conservative football the Lions are experts in comebacks and we can have a nasty 4th quarter surprise. We have to keep going for everything even if ahead by 2TDs, the Lions always attempt some sort of comeback.

I know MM will get the gameplan all wrong and I know our secondary is a disaster, if the offense is hot then I predict we will be ahead, play conservative and the Lions will win in the 4th quarter in some form of epic comeback. People will remember Rodgers had 30 seconds or so to win/tie the game and nobody will remember we just gave up attacking and went for our trademark soft zone defense in the 4th quarter....

I just hope if we come out with a huge lead like Chicago and Minny that we don't do that stupid prevent crap in the second half. If anything Matt Stafford has proved he can bring his team back and pull out a late win.

Edit: Hahaha Luis our minds went to the same place.

I just want a win.
Detroit played well in the first half last night, then got it handed to them.
My hope is, that they are feeling down and depressed over their showing, and that it carries over to Sunday night.
I hope.

Where I think we really caught the right end of the stick is playing early Saturday at home vs. Monday Night away. That's about a 2 and 1/2 day advantage and it comes in the last week of the season. That much more time to rest, recover, and plan for Detroit is big IMO.

Packers are on 7 days rest, Lions 5 days rest. Huge, Huge Game. No pussyfooting around. McCarthy had better get this team game ready. None of this false start, illegal procedure crap. Offense can not have any penalties. No blocks in the back on kick offsssssss(each s is for a score) and punts. No stupid challenges that are obvious. I'm sure the Lions are sick of hearing/reading about how the Packers are going to win the NFC North, Lets hope their frustrations lead to many turn-overs. We get 2-fg's, 4-td's and a safety, they get 2-fg's, and 3-td's, with 1-2point conversion.

I don't expect our pass rush will have much success against them on the road seeing as though their pass blocking is the best of the teams we've faced during this win streak, but they can't run the ball very well so we've got to eliminate giving up big plays on defense and I think we'll be able to win this. I believe Cook will have a good game and I'm hopeful our running game allows us to shorten the game.

The run game returns this week.
The Packers front 7 dominate on D.
Packers well rested
Detroit's only advantage is being at home .
Not enough.

Packers 37 Lions 23
Lions will add garbage points In the 4th quarter to keep The Packer D rankings at around 20..
5 down 1 to go!

But if we know we are already classified and we play more relaxed maybe we lose, maybe we don't care and I don't want a trip to Seattle.
So maybe I want the Redskins to win that game.

I don't know...

Let's not forget that Seattle has been terrible on the road this year.
Even though The 49r' s aren't very good, they will be fighting for their jobs.
They would love to go out on a winning note.

I give The 49r's a good chance to pull the upset.

That would drop Seattle to the #4 seed .
Packer - Lion winner would be #3.

The Giants are locked in at #5, they beat The Redskins and they will be heading to Seattle.

The Packers and Lions will do it all over again next week.

If the trend continues the same way, The Pack should be able to put up 30+ points while the defense does enough to pull out a win. I also highly believe this game (and the rest if we make it to the playoffs) will be all on the shoulders of A rod. If he doesn't have a good game, we lose since we don't have a reliable defense. A Rod really should win the MVP if he beats the lions and gets us the division title. There is really no other player out there that determines the team's success as much as A rod. Patriots would still be a 10+ win playoff team without Brady, Prescott and Elliot would not be having the same kind of success if not for their Excellent O-Line, Big Ben and Matt Ryan have legit weapons in Julio Jones, Antonio Brown and Leveon Bell. These players are all important puzzles to their team but A rod is like half the puzzle to the team. Without him, the pack would be a below .500 team this year.

Anyways I don't believe this will be a game that we will go in there and blow them out even though it seems like that due to us being one of the hottest teams right now. I have a feeling their defense will put some good pressure on Rodgers and get him off his game enough that we only score around the low 20s. But I'm even more worried what our defense will do. I have no faith in our secondary (scheme and players besides Clinton Dix) and unless our guys up front can generate good pressure and get some sacks, we will probably give up 30+ points. Broken finger or not, if guys are getting wide open down the middle or beating our guys deep 1 on 1, Stafford is gonna be able to make the pass if we don't put the pressure on. So again, I believe this will come down to how good A rod plays and how much points the offense can score to offset the defense. My final prediction is Packers 24, lions 21.
