Thought Darkane was nuts when he said the Lions OL is best we faced the last 6 weeks; then I looked at who we played and he's probably correct; but the Lion OL is still not any good. It really shows how there are no OLmen in the league.
Swanson C is doubtful and did not make one snap in practice this week; all he did was hit a sled and some other stuff, did little with team on field. So, he’s not starting and may be inactive.
The Tackles are average and they will give up some plays.
Their present Center Glasgow [2016 3rd rounder] will be good, but he’s just a rookie now. Glasgow earlier in year replaced Tomlinson at Guard, who was bad. Then when Swanson got hurt Glasgow moved to C, Tomlinson got his job back. Their other guard is really good; but Glasgow isn’t a strength and Tomlinson is weak. We will get some push from inside too.
Plus we got all our pass rushes back and the 2 big ones are FRESH. Outside: CM3, fresh; Perry, Fresh and clubbed up; Datone and Peppers [not as fresh as planned, but he wants that ring]. Inside: Datone, Peppers and Daniels and Clark got a few good pushes last week. And Ryan is rounding back into his pro bowl level. Our front 7 will control to dominate their OL [Just like Buckeye said in about 7 words😁].
Our OL will dominate Detroit pass rush, assuming Lang and Bulaga are healthy, they are.
Riddick is out!
Slay said earlier in week he’d talk to reporters of Friday; he wouldn’t talk Friday. I’m guessing that hammy aint anywhere near 100%. Whoever Slay covers should run some bogus zig zag stop go routes designed by Dr. McKenzie to put max pressure on the Hammy. Test his ass.
Levy, even if he plays, he’s not fully recovered from his hip injury; great player, but a mere shell.
Boldin is not on injury report; but he’s got a splint on left ring finger and he has only caught balls all week with right hand. I wish this guy played for us he last 13 years; what a stud.
The Freep beat guys think Roberts’ shoulder is presently made of glass, so one hit to it and he’ll be out.
The Lions were the worst 9-4 team in NFL history. They’re 8 whiskers away from being 1-14. Remember what the sisters did to DuFrain at Shawshank? That’s what we’re doing to this 1-14 team on Sunday.
• Indy kicked "Game Winning FG" with :37 seconds left to go up by 1. Det. somehow got a FG to win by 2 [then Det got a safety on Kick-off as game ended].
• They beat Philly 24-23. Det was down by 2 with 2:41 to go with no time outs and Philly had the ball 3rd and 2 at philly 45. If Philly gets 1st down, its game over and they fumbled; Lions came down and got FG.
• They were down by 7 to Rams with Keenum at QB with 14 minutes left. They kicked a FG to win by 3 in last minute.
• They beat Wash 20-17. Wash took lead 17-13 with 1:13 to go. Det. got a TD to win 20-17.
• In Week 9 [So Minny was in suck mode] Minny scored “game winning TD” to go up by 3 with :23 seconds left. But, Detroit got a FG, won toss in OT and scored a TD on first drive. Note on aggression, with 8 minutes left Minny had 4th and 1 at 5 and failed.
• Det. beat Jax 26-19. They were losing 19-16 in 4th Q and Jax had ball. Of Det.’s 16 points 13 came on a TD punt return and a pick-6. Through 3 quarters Jax dominated Detroit. Det outscored Jax 10-0 in 4th Q.
• Det. beat Minny week 12, 16-13. Minny led by 3 with 5 minutes to go. Det got FG to tie but left Minny 1:45 to win the game. With :38 seconds left Bradford threw an INT, Det kicked FG and won.
• They beat Chicago 20-17. Chicago got a TD w/ 7:07 to go, to go up 17-13. Detroit went up 20-17 with 3:17. Bears got to Det. 43 with :58 left and completed a pass to 16; oops holding. On 1st and 20, Bears got a 23 to 30; oops holding again. Bears on 1st and 30 only got 20 yards on next 4 plays and turned ball over on downs, 10yards shy of FG range.
