I don't see how McCarthy keeps his job after this year.

Our bye week comes at the perfect time this year. We need to hit the reset button.

Aaron Rodgers hasn't thrown for 100+ quarterback rating since the game prior to the 2015 BYE week. The six games prior to that BYE week he had thrown 4 games with 100+ quarterback rating.

Make Rodgers compare all of his film from his last 15 to everything prior. Open his eyes.

My concerns for this offense are now about 99% confirmed and what really frustrates me is that I don't think any of the coaches know how to fix it. The DBs are still running the god damn routes with the receivers all game long! Rodgers accuracy is shot! The whole passing game seems to be purely made up of routes right on top of the sideline or guys running to the sideline. The only time the O looked even somewhat respectable was when they were passing it over the middle. It's 3rd/4th in 1 MM so where the hell is Lacy?

And the toss play still, really?

I feel like the 10 yard toss to the outside that Lacy pulled out of nowhere will be enough to convince McCarthy that we should run the ball outside regularly for the next 6 years even if it never does jack for us.

There was not a single negative; 100% of the glass is full! The biggest positive will be stated last. I have not re-watched the game so some of these observations might be off. I opined in game day thread that Rodgers would need to play MVP for GB to win; as it turns out all he had to do was be a Dilfer-like manager and we’d have won.

On kick-off return after 1st TD, M. Evans, holds his lane, sheds the block and makes open field tackle. He doesn’t jump around as if to say “look at me” he goes to sideline like he’s done it 100 times.

First Play of game, Martinez reads, reacts and closes with perfection to take the great AP down in the open field. Who was the last GB ILB to do that in their 2nd start or ever? Martinez is going to be special. The only thing common to Ryan’s play between this year and last is his jersey number. The game is really slowing for him. And he even missed most of preseason, these last 2 games have been his pre-season. Yet the best of the bunch is Thomas, what a game he had. This 3 ILB rotation is going to be a moderate strength by the end of season.

Guion has an MCL; this I good. Bet he goes on IR-DTR; so he’ll be back for last 3rd of season and be fresh for playoffs. Plus, how about that Kenny Clark. He did NOTHING in Jax. Kinda scary, its reminiscent of the first action by Jamal Reynolds, Worthy and Thornton. But, when his team needed him, he responded. I bet Daniels said, “son, Letroy is out, this is your time, we need you to step it up.” Clark is a gamer!

The kids Gunter, Rollins played better, so did Burnett. Maybe Randall’s performance was not very good; but he’ll learn and loved him taking responsibility. Randall proved he’s a pro and can handle adversity.

How about 4 1st round pass rushers dominating like quality 1st rounders [CM3, Pepp, Perry, Jones]. And will the money ruin Daniels? I think not.

Taylor seemed to have played well for his 4th start. This is a bit shocking to me, I thought Minny’s DL talent and Zimmer would game plan him to sideline . We only saw him play RG against pros before Jax game and he did okay. Some guys are better on one side; maybe he’s a better on left side than right.

McCarthy made a bone-headed move on the 4th down; but he’ll learn and a win would have helped to mask Rodgers’ crappy play. The decision to pass on 3 sure points must ONLY be made when the likely hood is high that a TD will be scored. Like a 4th and 1 from the 3. 4th and 2 from the 13 and calling a manno-on manno run means that if successful we’ll have a first and 10 at the 10 or 11. The odds of us scoring a TD yesterday from there were LOW. Now if McCarthy had a play called like the one that went to Jordy in end zone and the first down would have put us at 1st and G from the 4 or 5, now the odds of getting a TD are high.

If my team faced a 1st and 10 at 15; I have my defense tackle all 5 eligible receivers to create a 1st and G from 10. Soon everyone would do it and a rule would be implemented to stop the practice.

The biggest positive: Rodgers’ play. Rodgers reads his press clippings and he is very sensitive to them. Step one for the alcoholic is to recognize they have a problem, this is true of wayward QBs as well. Last year, his career play, play in first 6 games, stats he compiled in garbage time, and the successful hail mary bullshit, masked for most fans and the media just how much he truly sucked. And of course, the natural tendency was to blame everyone and everything else: the drops [even though GB had more in 2014]; no Jordy; the wounded WRs; injuries to OL, etc. This game exposed Rodgers as unadulterated suck. His teammates, the media and fans will now hold him accountable and it will make it easier for Mike to make a QB change. And this, like sitting in the green room ‘til what seemed like the 4th round to him, will be the impetus for Rodgers to pull his own head from his own ass and return to being Aaron Rodgers. He can’t face Olivia knowing the entire world is saying he sucks.

We scored 17 [I’m countin’ the FG dammit] with our QB playing worse than Sanchez. Minny scored 17 with their QB playing like, well, Aaron Rodgers. This shows the problem is not “the offense;” it’s just one guy playing bad in the offense. And Mike is a great coach, he will fix it.

This “loss” ensures a super bowl victory!

I wonder if we can get Greg Jennings and Donald Driver to come out of retirement?

Zero2Cool (20h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (23h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (23h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
