All throughout this pre season I've read over and over the goal was to go into regular season HEALTHY. Clearly, this is what MM set out to accomplish and he certainly did. TWENTY guys didn't suit up tonight. However ONE of our starters to be did...Jared Cook.

WHY WHY WHY WHY? Working on timing between him and Joe Callahan? This was one of the singular most illogical things from this entire off-season and pre season. Totally inconsistent with the mindset of keeping your importants uninjured. Richard Rodgers didn't play. He's more important than Jared Cook? Incredible.

Seriously seeking a Barfarn styled conspiracy theory to make half sense of this confounding logic that said...Hey, let's play Jared Cook throughout the 1st half and try to get him a TD catch.

MM should be stuck to the wall on this issue. So tired of he's a great coach and knows what he's doing kind of crap. That move was purely idiotic and should be labeled and called out by our milquetoast media.

For goodness sake, for those who didn't see his TD catch, he was pulled down awkwardly in what easily could've been an ACL tearing injury. All to do what? What was the goal? To see if you wanted him as your #1 over the painful to watch Richard Rodgers? I don't get it. Someone PLEASE make sense of this for me.

He missed time in OTA's because of that surgery he had, which was to prevent further injury. You don't get that time back, and with Green Bay's playbook with the excessive ISO's--he needs the reps.

You can't be playing scared.

Absolutely 100% they were. Aaron played TWO SERIES....TWO! Scared? Absolutely 100% terrified.

No reason whatsoever to work Joe Callahan and Jared Cook's timing. Oh, so he's new to Green Bay and needed the time Jordy didn't? I could buy that a little bit but this is the 4th pre season game.

Cook will be treated like a rookie unless he proves otherwise, and his only opportunity at doing that was pre-season. Remember he's behind Richard Rodgers despite his talent.

If you think they played Cook because they weren't sure what they had, I don't know what to say.

Did Woodson or Peppers get treated like rookies?

Jared Cook is a match up nightmare. Good luck to the smaller cover guys... he'll shake 'em right off.
