Wade, maybe I should go take some classes in Texas where they've rewritten all the standard textbooks. Then I'd be smart like all you guys. 😂 Hell Wade, you still believe in the shepard stories of the Bible, when just about all of it has been debunked. How smart are you, or should I ask how duped?

So....the Bible has been debunked? By who?
Don't tell me....scientists? (Who don't believe in God and make up insane stories with no more proof then I can prove there IS a God?)
Troy, you won me over. I have decided to vote democrat. After all, why should I care about the future of this country? I don't have any kids, so why should I care about where America will be in 20 years? I should just vote for who I think will fill MY pockets.

p.p.s. I will concede that Texas state education ... and Iowa's, for that matter ... is at least as bad as North Dakota's. Texan and Iowan political sheep may eat grass "provided" by different state educational systems, but only sheep keep eating it.

I have many friends and family who are very religious and I respect them and their views. But the Bible (regardless of which version you entrust) shows it's own invalid nature when you're not saying "Amen" after every punctuation and actually apply thought and logic to it.

I do believe there is a God, fully believe that to be true. I just have a vastly different belief in how we became who we are and what God has for expectations of us.

As for gun control, I don't guns removed, I just haven't heard anyone explain to me why we need assault rifles with 50+ clips that can shoot 20 shots in five seconds. I'm not saying it should be outlawed, I'm saying I don't understand why anyone would feel the need unless for inflicting mass deaths.

IMO, if one has an uncontrolled desire to shoot assault rifles, set off explosives, and strut about in body armor, the U.S.Army and Marines Corp have a place just waiting for you. Otherwise such things are as out of place in our communities as racism, class snobbery, and immoral behavior.

As for belief in a Supreme Being, it has always struck me how quickly many start believing when they are in great danger. In war, there are no atheist in foxholes when the lead and shells start flying. I don't believe any of the USS Indianapolis survivors were non-believers.

I have heard people say "God wouldn't send anyone to hell" as an excuse not to accept Jesus as their saviour. Fact is, God has never sent ANYONE to hell, they CHOOSE to go. HE provided the way to avoid hell, but gave us free will to choose.
It amazes me how people won't put their faith in the Bible, but will put their faith in the theory of evolution.
I have had people laugh at me for believing in Noah's ark, that God had 2 of each KIND of animal. For example, he only needed 2 dogs , and we have dingos, wolves, foxes and so on that came from them. "You believe ALL the different dogs came from just two dogs??? How can you BELIEVE that???"
Yet they believe they (and EVERY animal, bird, fish and so on) came from a ROCK, MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO.

And Sodom and Gommorah was destroyed not just because of gays, but because of all kinds of deviant behavior.
You can choose to not believe in God. Like I stated earlier, we have been given free will.

And as far as guns, once again "assault weapons" are highly regulated. But some don't care about the laws, and THEY are the problem. Scumbag criminals and terrorists are the problem, period.
If someone wants to murder, they will do so. That's one of the problems with the world today. They think THEY matter, and don't care about anyone else. It's a selfish self centered world. And that is sad.

A lot of people like the idea of the supreme being and there are many versions of this person. To actually believe in the one that was introduced to you as a kid and dismiss everything else isn't faith, it's arrogance.

Hell, I'm even open to aliens mixing their DNA with primates to make modern humans. Truth is, nobody actually "knows" anything.

Indeed God had promised Abraham that he would spare them if even a few obedient people could be found. Probably is, apart from Lot's family (who were saved), there weren't any to be found.

Oh, and even if it were a comet/asteroid....you don't think God has the power to use them as the instrument of his wrath?
