Damn, I thought I lacked being tactful. LTF raises the bar ...

Aaron Rodgers did not say Brett Favre was a distraction. In that snippet he says that Brett arriving in GB during the Family Night created an awkward locker room because the team didn't know 'who is the guy now?'. I didn't read that Aaron said Brett was a distraction in there.

Porky said he doesn't think any player will say Favre was a distraction. It was then noted that Rodgers said it was a distraction. I am saying, Rodgers has not said Favre (the man, the player, not the situation) was a distraction. I wasn't denying that the situation (which is what RP is referring to) was a distraction, more so on the lines of how I read porkys post which was saying Favre won't be labeled a distraction by any player. Which I have not heard or seen any player say Brett Favre was a distraction.

There's no denying the situation created by Favre unretiring was a distraction. I can't think of any player during that time who was interviewed by anyone who wasn't asked about Brett at least once. How can that not be a distraction?

I think Rodgers thinks it was a distraction and based on the Irvin interview it sounds like that's what he was implying at least.

My point was or is that nobody is going to trash Brett Favre publicly because they don't want to be disrespectful to a Green Bay legend, but behind close doors I think there is probably mixed feelings about what happened in the Summer.

Players have opinions just like the fans do.

I think it's pretty obvious that people were bothered to some extent.

Being an attorney is right.

Rodgers said what he said. And what he said was Brett Favre being there was a distraction to him, and to the team in the locker room.

There can be no situation with out Brett, and with out Brett there is no situation.

That is like saying that it was the Hot Water's fault that the waiter caused a stain on my jacket when the waiter spilled a cup of tea on. It is a fricken tea stain, not a hot water stain. Actually it is all three the water, the tea, and the hot water. But you can not exlude one.

Be careful Zero. Some people might say you just can not admit you made a mistake and are a stubborn person. I of course like to believe that is not the case.

R.P.

There is no situation with the press with out Brett Favre.

Understood, but I don't see it as I made a mistake. I took porky's comment as saying that no one has said Brett was a distraction, in which I don't think anyone has. Why is that so hard to understand?

I know Rodgers said the situation was a mistake, I trucking commented on it awhile back! I know it's a fine line, but just because some can't understand the point I'm making doesn't make me right, or wrong. Perhaps, difficult? lol :)

btw, I have no problems being wrong, when I am indeed wrong. When I am misunderstood that's a different story. And I am stubborn, ask the gf. Hell, she'll contest to that I'm difficult too! hah

I fully agree with James Jones. Brett Favre was not the problem. I'd also add that he wasn't the solution either.

Injuries, bad kicking/punting and poor play calling doomed us.
