dhazers new official site name for me is the "Energizer Bunny."
Man, the guy just keeps going and going and going.......
First of all, much of his blame on Ted Thompson SHOULD actually be directed towards McCarthy, if anybody, and that is a stretch.
With all the looking back and hindsight Mike McCarthy should have fired Sanders before last year. Now I totally understand why that did not happen. In '06 the defense made good strides in the last half of the season and of course in '07 they were even better....so, why WOULD he fire him?
As far as Ted Thompson is concerned you don't win 13 games and get as far as the NFC Championship game on your home field without a quality roster.
The problem last year under Sanders was that the DL would have had to have been one of the best in the NFL because he was so intent on rushing four guys 90% of the time. When Jenkins went down and KGB turned out to be a third down pass rushing specialist DUD the lack of fleibility in Sanders' philosophy and inability to adapt roared it ugly head. The result? Near miss after near miss.
So Dhazer gets his day now because of last year but with Capers and Co. it's a whole new ballgame. That defensive coaching staff has all of the NFL's respect and has proven they can turn teams around.
So a new day is coming soon and I am saying hear and now it's not because Ted Thompson has or hasn't done so much as it will be the decision to go in a different direction with the defense which was a McCarthy call. A couple to maybe three new faces. That's about it.
