The players that Ted Thompson put on the roster and the players that Mike McCarthy put on the field came within 1 play of advancing in the playoffs each of the last 3 years. One of those would have put them in the SB. I'm not sure what more the coach or GM could have done on each of those plays. That's three plays in three years for a minimum of three more playoff wins. If we get those three plays this conversation is much much shorter if it happens at all.

Yes, McCarthy has a tendency to go conservative too soon in many games. He should keep going for it all and blitzing every play until the final whistle no matter what the score is. He should also foresee a player having a great game in the playoffs and play him a lot more in the regular season despite perhaps not knowing the offense. No matter that that WR was one of only two realistic options in that playoff game so his big numbers are not all that surprising.

Granted Ted should probably utilize FA a bit more and make trades to address weak positions like TE where we maybe could have gotten a player who would have given us 20 receptions for 200 yards and 0 TDs instead of the player that got us 30 receptions for 286 yards and 4 tds over the same time frame. I know I 'd rather have the 20/200/0 wouldn't you.

Still, three plays and three more wins, minimum. That's not to to shabby. Ted Thompson signs players and Mike McCarthy coaches players to make plays and they make a lot of them. Sadly they don't make all of them but no player does.

Our coach and our GM are not perfect. They are like every other coach and GM in the league in that respect. That said I think they are better than the vast majority of them. It wouldn't surprise me if Mike McCarthy wants a few more weapons. What coach wouldn't? But how does that translate to being "fed up" I read through Mike Florio's article where he mentions Bob McGinn's article so I read Bobs article and never saw anything where he indicated Mike McCarthy was fed up. Its obvious BM is fed up but according to several sources BM is a moron so take what he says with a grain of salt.

I fail to see your point in that long winded post. What disappoints me in TT's approach of filling out his roster is the glaring holes he continues to leave when he's sitting on millions every year that he has to try and burn off in December to an upcoming free agent, or else he squanders money on mediocre talent, please see the contracts of Brad Jones and AJ Hawk.

Ted is double dumb as Dakota noted...not only will he not pay for good free agents he'll overpay his own subpar players. That's a compounded loss.

Aaron Rodgers hides a ton of this garbage, though. Although, he sure didn't hide it this season. I can understand why Nerd alleges what he alleges. Nerd fully believes Aaron is fed up with MM. We now have heard that MM is fed up with TT. What a great relationship. If LeBron was a Packer MM would've been fired years ago and probably the GM, too.

I'm very curious to know how the board of directors feels now?

People want to nitpick the McGinn piece and discredit it but how can you not believe it? Does Ted Thompson stand up when this team loses and speak to the press? Where's his big state of the Packers? He's hiding letting MM speak. Ted Thompson is not a leader...he's a disgrace in that regard. He's soft and has no leadership abilities. I truly wonder how this org would be with a Wolf/Harbaugh in charge. I believe we would've been the Niners of Montana Young vintage. Instead, we get this. Hooray.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

And I'm fed up with your "play not to lose" mentality, Mikie!! Maybe it's time for you to get out of town, before it's too late!

Yeah, but Wolf also had Mike Holmgren, who put together one of the greatest coaching trees in the history of the sport. It comes as no surprise the regression came immediately after Holmgren and the rest of his staff jumped ship.

Why is Mike McCarthy in position to complain and use fear based play calling?

None of that happens if he's not extended. Who extended him, again? You can't answer a simple question.

TT and MM have the same number of SB wins as RW and MH.

Do I think Ted is blameless? No. Could he do better? Yeah. But I don't put the failure of the last two seasons on the players he has acquired.

But your right they only have 1 each, but I felt alot better about the Homgren teams than the MM teams. Wolf would go out and find those guys to help out, the Keith Jacksons and Andre "Bad Moon" Rison. They weren't big names but guys that filled voids for us. Desmond Howard for cripes sake to fill in a return role. You do not see that from MM and TT.

Everyone is thinking we should be so great next year with the easy schedule on paper, but i wouldn't bank on it. This team is in turmoil and it can't be fixed until new people are brought in. You can't have guys coming in overweight and nothing said of it. You can't have your QB calling out everyone because he is not playing well. You have people complaining the young guys aren't studying which means we have no leadership. And that all starts at the top with TT.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately

Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
