I already "forgave" him. He's only human.
That said, i'm glad he's retiring. He's already pushed back my and Trippster's trip to Canton by one year. If he keeps playing, I might not be alive to make that trip!

I forgave Favre a while back, put his little pic back up on my office wall with all his records WITH THE PACKERS.
Anyways, lets hope that this is the last retirement talk of Brett and he stays retired. He has done all he can do for the NFL and has set many standards as a quarterback.

Exactly. I'm sure lots of folks will use this as an excuse to take another pound of flesh from the other folks who don't agree with them about the whole thing, but it's been discussed to death - and you know what? No matter what is said, the Roddys and DHazers aren't going to do anything but blame Ted Thompson, while some other folks won't do anything but blame Brett. Same shit, new year, and something I'm afraid we'll all have to deal with for at least a couple years - probably long after the principle people involved have moved on. Fandom - ain't it awesome?

As for Brett, I think this is the best decision for him - and I think it demonstrates that he has already started to move on. The only reason to come back would be to somehow stick it to the Packers, and I get the impression that isn't reason enough to him anymore. Smart.

Hopefully we'll see him on the pre-game shows soon, because dude's a hoot - I'd love to see him go head-to-head w/ someone like Ditka over the issues of the day.

It will make you feel good about Favre's legacy. I had no clue about alot of players who finished with other teams. He is a packer 4 life

I bought a book last year that has many of the SI articles on Favre. When things got so ugly I just put it on the shelve. Perhaps later this Spring I will get it back out and finish reading them. :thumbleft:
