Man, in watching that video... what stands out to you? What rhythm from Rodgers. Total decisiveness and control. That's not even recognizable to what we saw this past season.

Also, I just gotta say a few things. I had no recollection Brett Swain was on the team back then much less dropped a key pass that could've cost us dearly. I had no recollection the Steelers lost a ton of players, too.

Finally, Jordy Nelson had a statistically great game but he was awful dropping huge passes throughout the game. James Jones also dropped a sure TD. Pretty amazing game by Rodgers... it would be the all time greatest SB performance, ever, had our guys actually caught the football in that one.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

What stands out to me is the number of short routes that were used. Stop routes, slants, square in. Those are the routes that create quick rhythm, High completion percentage and open up for the deep routes. Also was the versatility of the WR corp. Any one would line up at any position. Something we also haven't had for a couple years.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Look at how many WR's we lost this year!
You think timing doesn't have anything to do with Rodger's "below his average" season?
Yes, Nelson dropped some passes in SB 45. But he immediatly followed the drop up with a big play. It wasn't drop after drop after drop, like we saw this year. Aaron Rodgers had timing with Nelson, Jones and Greg Jennings. That's what playing long term with guys can do.
Look at how Jennings dropped off the face of the earth after he left the Packers? And James Jones too.
Having a top tier QB can make a so so guy into a star. But Aaron Rodgers didn't have much time with guys like Abberderis and Janis, to get to know what they would do when a play breaks down. And James Jones was a big help, but obviously lost more then a step, and without Nelson and Jennings in the lineup, made his warts show even more.
