Cowboys | Would save $4.15 million if they released Ellis

Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports the Dallas Cowboys would save $4.15 million in salary cap space if they released LB Greg Ellis this offseason.

LB from a good 3-4 defense sounds interesting.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Nobody said that they'd release him...that's just somebody doing some math in their spare time.

Dallas may release him if they feel Anthony Spencer is ready to step up as the teams' outside linebacker opposite of DeMarcus Ware.

Yes Tengo, Chillar was better this past year...but remember we were a 4-3 defense then. I think Poppinga would be a better fit for us in the 3-4.

I was never really impressed with poppinga thou. I really hope we grab a nice OLB/DE tweener in our first or 2nd draft picks.

I could live without a top pick if we'd grab jenkins thou. Once we get some pressure on the QB well just have more and more picks next season.
