That's the question we all want answering.

We win tonight and that's homefield wrapped up. So....

If you were Mike McCarthy what would you do?

For me it's a no brainer.

Despite what the players say.

Screw the undefeated season and rest your starters.

If Rodgers goes down in a meaningless game against the Bears or Lions we're screwed, so take no chances start Flynn then take him out for the 2nd half and put in Harrell.

Just my opinion.

What's yours?

As I had bemoaned before. I'd play my team as if it were the third preseason game of the year. Play starters into 3rd quarter and then sit them.

You crazy, opportunities like this don't come to often. Go for the 16-0, go for Aaron Rodgers getting 50 tds and 5000 yards >

Just because you rest your starters and your healthy don't mean your going to automatically win it all. Last year we we're injured and we won it all. Look at the Colts, they had everything locked up and lost the final games and didn't win the SB. At least even if you go 18-0 or 16-0 and lose in the playoffs at least you get one good thing out of your season coming out.

Imagine you do rest your starters ... go 14-2 or 15-1 and then lose in the playoffs ... what the hell was the point?

Why did you bemoan that? Is it something you would do against your better judgment?

The Colts had a chance to go undefeated and chose to sit their players. The Patriots had a chance to go undefeated and played out the string. Both teams failed to win a Super Bowl. There is no evidence that sitting the players will improve or reduce the chances of winning it all, but choosing to play to win WILL give this team a chance to accomplish something that's never been done before: a 25-game winning streak with two consecutive Super Bowl victories. We'll probably never see a string of success like that in our lifetimes.

Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? When you get a chance to make history, you take it. But do it smartly. Keep the pedal to the metal, play as if the games mattered, and rest the players who are banged up. There is no reason for players like Clifton, Hawk, Starks, or Sitton to play until they are 100 percent.

I would not go for 16-0. Why would the packers' run be any more amazing if they were to win these garbage time games? It makes no sense to me. I hear analysts say ...."yeah if they win the SB again that would be great but 16-0 and a SB!!?!? WOW" It makes no sense because the packers go from great to Goldy because they won a couple garbage games at the end of the season. Just my opinion though I suppose.

In 2007, with homefield advantage wrapped up before the final game, McCarthy rested a bunch of guys. But not ALL the big names. Faver played the first half. Nothing to gain but mementum going into the playoffs. No perfect season to chase.

I'd expect the Packers to play most of their starters, being a little more conservative in resting anyone with an injury to nurse, and rotating the backups in more to limit snaps of many starters.

Go for the undefeated season. Like stated before, opportunities like this don't come often. In the entire history of this franchise, Green Bay hasn't had an undefeated season. So let's add to the amazing history.

Guess that debacle makes this question overcome by events. I'd still rest them...though I don't know how much help rest will give to our defense!

Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : Oh that might be a backbreaker
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : That's what I thought too, just wasn't sure
TheKanataThrilla (19-Jan) : Kicking doesn't make much sense
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : If the Rams score a TD on the upcoming drive, they go for 2, right?
TheKanataThrilla (19-Jan) : Stafford is pretty good with 4th quarter comebacks. I would like to see it.

Martha Careful (19-Jan) : quick analysis, Philly Oline, for the most part, is what our Oline should strive to be
