So are you going to stop cheering for them in the playoffs?

We went in there with a backup G at LT, and we were still in it until the 3rd quarter.

Mike Daniels comes up with a HUGE play to give us the ball in the redzone before the half. Aaron completely shit himself there, maybe on purpose, but by rights it could have been a close game going into the half.

Then let's look at the beginning of the 3rd. We get the ball, the offense seems like they're ready to hunker down and kick some ass. Stars takes over LG and gets, what was it 12 yards? Thing is, he FUMBLED.

After that, we lost Bulaga and it went downhill from there, with no Ts in the game. Backup Gs at both positions, although I thought Tretter was adequate at RT.

This is the best team in the league right now. It's NORMAL to look like that with no Ts on the field. Shit man, Aaron and Starks don't turn the ball over, it's a whole different show. That's shit we can clean up. And it seems like we're getting some of this players back.

WE HAVE A CHANCE. A chance to pull it together. It's not over just yet.

The problems have been around for a while, not just this last game.

They don't deserve to make the playoffs. The last 9 games have been a better indicator as to who the 2015 Packers are. They are a below average to mediocre NFL team. Frankly, the Packers are lucky to have made the playoffs.

Regardless of how it was done, that's usually good enough to make the playoffs. They won enough games, so they deserve to be in the playoffs. Bottom line. They might lose the first game, but that doesn't mean they didn't earn the right to play that first game. That's why the season is 16 games and not 8 or 9. All of the games matter. Playoff eligibility isn't determined by how the team has looked recently. Foremost, it's determined by wins and then a series of tiebreakers, as we all know. The Packers deserve to be in the playoffs. They just aren't a great team right now.

Do the Packers look capable of winning in the playoffs? No.
But I will be cheering for them like I always do.
And there are 20 teams that WISH they had at least a CHANCE to win it all. They won't even have ONE playoff game.

Can GB go on a run starting this week and compete for a SB ? Sure ..any team that gets in can do that. However the question is are we overreacting to the issues at hand ?

Should we just bury our head in the sand as a fan base and blindly cheer this team on ? Frankly the number one Achilles heel of this franchise is just that a fan base that is way too complacent of the franchise/team and it's bull crap. For the first time in a long time MM/TT have some heat on their ass for making some crappy decisions.

That same mind set is what kept us meh in the late 70's and 80's. I know I lived it. It wasn't until they brought in a couple outside people and got fresh perspective that we revived the franchise.

Point being MM/TT have been together a long long time by NFL standards, you can't allow the team to go stale and get back to meh. That doesn't mean fire everyone... but shaking up the schemes/staff and personal approach should be looked at closely.

Overreacting ? No not at all Nerd maybe even under reacting in a lot of circles. [twocents]

The difference is, the 1970s and 80s we only made the playoffs ONCE.
Our current team has been making the playoffs consistently.
Again, we are spoiled.
Think about all the NFL teams that rarely even SNIFF the playoffs.
And in the end, only one team each year is satisfied with the Lombardi trophy.
How many SB trophies have the Vikings, Bears and Lions won in the last 25 years?
ZERO. The Packers have won TWO.
I bet their combined fan base WISH they had 2 of those trophies.
I'm not saying to be happy with losing. Just be happy we have a team that has a chance at making it.
It could be a lot worse.

I may be spoiled but it is because i am frustrated with what has been squandered in my eyes. Two things upset me about the current packer team.

1. Green bay has done an amazing job picking up two hof qbs. The team however has a limited number of years left with Aaron Rodgers and that window is getting smaller fast. It sucks that the team only has one trophy to show with this talent given the the rules favor offensive teams.

2. Given all the injuries, Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers look batshit crazy with the scheme they are running. It is the definition of insanity to run the same offense over and over again, with many key starters injured, and expect a different result.

We're not trying to pick apart little things here and there to say they aren't good enough. This is bullshit.
