Looks like Ray is looking for that one last payday this off season. I can only dream of what he would be like on the Pack now. I personally don't see him making it to the Jets since they are in the worst situation cap wise. Cowboys, always seem to be able to lure and find a way to get a player on the team.

I think we'd only go after Ray Lewis if we have a young stud LB that needs to learn the ropes on the bench for a year. Other than that, I just don't see us bringing him.

From wikipedia. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Lewis_(American_football)#Legal_Incident)

Despite his accomplishments on the field, Lewis' public image was tarnished following a Super Bowl party on January 31, 2000. Following the party, a fight broke out and Jacinth Baker, 21, and Richard Lollar, 24, died from stab wounds. Lewis and two companions, Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting, were brought to an Atlanta police station for questioning. Eleven days later, along with Oakley and Sweeting, Lewis was indicted for murder and aggravated assault.

I asume he's going to the Dallas Cowboys.

But in all seriousness, I'd let him go if I was Baltimore. I know he's a leader and a Ravens legend by now, but I'd put my money in the two younger LBs. They're both great and, if nothing nasty happens, will last alot longer than Lewis.

I am surprised that for a city and franchise that has treated him as great as Baltimore has, he doesn't want to play there for a bit less than what he can make with another team. Loyalty doesn't appear to mean anything in the NFL.

Rock it is the NFL it's a business, you hear the gms say it all the time when they cut or trade players so in all rights why would the players show loyalty back to the teams. As far as Lewis in Green Bay it won't happen mark it down we will not be active in Free agency we have Ted Thompson as a gm. Ted Thompson needs that money for his Hawaii trips.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

First, Ted is a GM, not an owner so the money spent or saved has no interest to him.
Second, I agree, Lewis will not be a Packer. I think he is loyal to the Ravens and will be retained.
Third, I regretfully have to agree that Ted will again be on vacation instead of signing Free Agents. I think there are a handful out there (finally) that are worth taking a risk on much like he did with Charles Woodson.

I think Lewis is blowing a little smoke. Trying to up his bargaining power. No way did I think he was coming to GB, just news for the NFL.

As for Ted Thompson and free agency. I have notified him that FA starts Monday so by the time it actually starts he will be ready to go.

Where is he going to this time Australia? Oh wait his son was there already. Yes i'm in a playful mood so don't get your underwear in a bunch. Lewis will either be in Baltimore or with the Jets and Ryan.

I don't see the Jets. Report is they are 7 million over 09' cap already. Even cutting Brett they will have to do lots of work to even get close to enough money for Lewis.

I don't blame him for not giving them a discount. he has said over and over he wanted an extension, and they always refused. Also, he does not want to play in a 3-4, so unless a team running a 3-4 makes him an offer he can't refuse, look for him to stay with a 4-3 D.
