Maybe he answered those questions hoping they won't be asked again during important parts of the off season. ie Training Camp, etc

Hmm, that kind of stokes the flame to the theory I mentioned, get the questions asked and answered now so they are not a distraction during training camp, etc.

That is interesting.

Well "one person" is going so far as to say it was done with the intentions of making the Packers and Rodgers look better in the eyes of the public, and make Brett look like an ass

Who is this "one person?"
I get so tired of "unnamed sources" spouting stuff and not being willing to man up and admit who they are.

Another issue everyone can analyze but probbably will never know the real answers. I think Favre is authentic in his aw shucks personanlity but I've read in one of his own tribute books that he can be very moody. One day he'll be your best friend at the stadium and next day walk right by you. I think as a star it's tough to always act in a way not to offend anyone. As far as not contacting Rodgers I bet it has more to do with not contacting anyone with the Packers more then aomething personal at Aaron

http://stations.espn.go.com/stations/espn1033/archive?id=3208681 <----- Actual Podcast

http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/packers.html

Here's the transcript:

Kiley: "You must say to yourself, why doesnt Brett speak to me. What could it possibly be? "

Rodgers: "I dont know. Thats a question for him. Im not going to put words in his mouth. When we lost to the Giants [in the 2007 NFC Championship], we left as friends, and I havent talked to him in a year."

Irvin: "Why will you not reach out to him?"

Rodgers: "I did."

Irvin: "So you called him and he did not call you back."

Rodgers: "Yeah."

"oskarliminga" wrote:

I know some people will say "Why should he call him at all?" I don't dispute that. The fact is though that he gladly reached out to Romo with his injury and made sure the media knew about it. Why would he do that and ignore his friend for 3 years?

I also understand that Favre feels some resentment to the person who was chosen over him as Green Bay's QB. It just seems petty though to ignore Rodgers phone calls.

What do you guys think?

"wils0646" wrote:

Seems to me that my recollection is that there was a story about Aaron Rodgers dissing Brett as an "Old Man" a few year's back. Anyone else remember that?

Are you serious? It was obviously tongue-n-cheek. Completely joking.

According to what i saw yesterday on local TV, Favre HAS contacted his "friends" on the Packers many times. Bill "Big Unit" Michaels and a couple other local sports guys said so. I don't think they are making it up.

TRIPP??? (kust kidding!) I know who you mean......
Now.....isn't it possible the person you quoted just MIGHT have some bias, because of who he is?
Plus, where did he get that info? I bet he heard it directly from Favre......who may THINK that that is the case, but is it REALLY?

If it came from someone not personal buddies with Favre, it would make it more believeable for me. But i doubt that the person you are speaking of would say ANYTHING that might show Favre in a bad light.

dfosterf (19m) : *Friday*
dfosterf (22m) : 100 million would be 539 million as of Fridsy
