The Glass Half full (and why am I drunk then?):

R.Rodgers: He is so bipolar, from a terrible game to a great game, he caught everything and you know, just give him say 20 seconds and he will be (kind of) open in the EZ.
D.Bakthiari: Heck of a game against Ansah, again, when he went down our protection collapsed, he sealed the left side and he is not at 100%.
J.Ryan: The difference with Nate Palmer? Day and Night. I hope we have found our anchor at the center of the field.
J.Peppers: That's a way to turn a game around.
HHCD: He played a different game, he was aware in every play and he made a lot of good plays tonight.

The Glass Half empty:

E.Lazy: No more pizzas, no more pasta, no more video games. He needs to be a professional and I like we are sending him the message.
M. Burnett: Again a non-factor against the pass, if he is only "good" against the run how can he play safety?
T.Clements: Ridiculous first half, the plays were so bad they were even funny, I found myself laughing at the calls.
N.Perry: He is being dragged around in every run play, he needs to get is act together.

Next: I really don't know. My mind is not clear now :)

Richard Rodgers wasn't open on that play. He went up and GOT it.

Burnett doesn't just play the run every play. If he's in coverage and doesn't give up any catches then he isn't really a non-factor.

I don't think you can judge Lacy in this game. We only gave him 5 carries and there were no holes at all.

If you can believe CBS, it sounds like Lacy was being punished for something else this week. He didn't start the game or see the field until the 3rd (?) series which makes me think something else was or is going on here.

I just hope that when the media approaches the coaches and the players about the fact that the refs gave us a another shot at winning the game by blowing the facemask call, that we have more class than Pete Carroll and his gang of hoodlums.

Answer their questions with: " Sometimes when you give the refs a chance to affect the outcome of the game you lose out, we have been there and done that"

If you want to call that a legitimate face mask and horse collar, then you want about 20 more flags thrown per game.

I get why the call was made, I thought it was too when watching at game speed, but the replays show it was a reach for even ticky tack.

Game can't end on a defensive penalty.

To me, it was a ticky-tacky facemask penalty upon reviewing on replay. His hand did graze the facemask a bit but he did not pull Rodgers down by it other than his shoulder pad. It's easy to dissect a good or bad call via instant replays, but refs don't get the benefit of that within seconds of a play ending. I think anyone who saw the play initially in real time probably would have thrown the flag too.

Fans can blame the call all they want, but that doesn't excuse the Lions from coughing up a 20 point lead in the second half when they had Green Bay on the ropes, not being more aggressive for another first down in the final two minutes after that amazing catch that got them a fresh set of downs on Detroit's final offensive possession and forcing them to punt which gave the Packers 23 seconds to make something happen, nor putting in Megatron or your best hands people to bat down a ball in the end zone and playing a hail mary on defense about as poorly as any team could.

His hand was on his shoulder, not hooked inside of the shoulder pad. To my knowledge, that is not a horse collar.

If the Packers lost this way, would we agree with the call?

I get why they called it. At game speed and how the tackle appeared, I probably throw a flag too. However, I think you need some green 'n gold glasses to see the replay and think that was a legitimate HC/FM penalty...OR...as I said above you want about another 20 flags thrown every game.

what was worse is the two missed offensive holds plus the offensive PI (push off) that happened in a single Detroit scoring drive (Field Goal).

Edit: Horse collar rule:

No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads
or jersey, and pull the runner toward the ground.

That's why it was called. When you have the benefit of instant slo-mo replay you can see the thumb pushed the facemask inward, but was not yanked or grabbed. Aaron Rodgers was a runner at that point, not a quarterback so I don't think the rule would apply for hands to the face. I'm not sure.

The Packers have lost this way and we bemoaned that it should not have been up to the final play of the game. Same applies to the Lions. The Packers had to go 61 yards to win the game. The Lions didn't even have Calvin Johnson out there because they assumed another lateral due to the distance. In other words, Lions didn't think Rodgers could throw the ball 70 yards. Also, watching the final play you can see none of the Lions defenders boxed out the Packers.

The Packers made one more play than the Lions and that is why they won the game.

He did jerk Rodgers head with the face mask, even though it looked like he did it with two fingers it's still the correct call Rodger head was turned by the grab. Detroit wanted to give us both games but we only stole one. JMHO

It looked like the right call at game speed, looks like the wrong call in slow motion. Stuff like this happens a lot during any game.

The Packers still earned the win. Despite the call, the Lions still had odds HEAVILY in their favor to win that game and they blew it on the last play, so kudos to the Packers.

As Aaron Rodgers said post-game, this will not mask the failures in the game and that was refreshing to hear during such a jubilant moment. By his own admission, this win ranks right at the top below the Super Bowl and yet he was still had enough self awareness to acknowledge deficiencies that need to be fixed.

Maybe this is the kick in the pants this team needed or maybe it validates their laissez-faire (my opinion of them) approach thinking they can just kick it up a notch the last half of the fourth quarter? Panthers, Lions and Bears games they steamed back and should have won those games and didn't. This Lions game they were more fortunate.

That Bears game where we had two 4th downs on the last drive and Aaron hit Cobb for the TD to make the playoffs was pretty big.
