Favre signed for me when he came off the practice field in 1993. Of course that was before he became a big "star".
After that, i didn't see him sign for anyone.....adults or kids. When he came out or went into the locker room, he would wave to the people, but wouldn't sign.
I myself can't see why a player, i don't care who he is, can't take 10 minutes out a day to sign a few things. Even if some jerk just wants to sell it, how does that hurt him? He (not just Favre) makes a boat load of money, so who cares if someone makes a few bucks?
I have NEVER sold any of my autographs. Not ONE. They are for me.
I CAN see a player refusing to sign more then one item per person. Because that shows that the person is just looking to sell it.
It's the FANS that make the players rich. If we didn't watch them, they couldn't demand the huge amounts of money they make.
JMO of course.

I'm not saying he NEVER signs anywhere. Just every time i saw him in Green Bay (which has been several times over the years) he never signed for anyone while i was there. I can only go by what i saw, which is what i was talking about.
Had i seen him sign at any other time, i would say it. But the only time i saw him spend any time for the fans was the one time in 93.
Thats my own personal expierience.
I have seen MANY other players take some time for the fans. Driver, Ahman Green, William Henderson to name a few. I can see a guy maybe having a bad day and not wanting to sign on a given day. But when it's all the time, i just don't understand that.
Just my own feelings. I don't know if anyone else here has actually seen otherwise. I'd be interested to hear if they have seen Favre signing for fans more often then i did.

I guess Aaron can get in line with Chumra and a host of other former teammates Favre can't seem to find time for.

Great player.
Shitty person.

Stuff like this makes me respect Donald Driver even more. I think most of us see Driver as a big star. He's someone who's consistently good, dependable, catches passes, goes up the middle when other WRs are afraid to make those catches, tough as nails, never misses a game. Yet, he stops to sign (as you've all said, I'm in California but I trust your words).

Favre seems to have let fame turn him into a prima donna. Driver is still Driver. Got to love that.

Well, here's the thing though. Brett Favre has done more amazing things for the team than anyone in the past 40 years.

But, Driver is someone I'd rather know in real life.

So what do we think of the interview with Rodgers from Irvin?

"Zero2Cool" wrote:

I already stated it.....I liked it.
He was honest, told of his OWN expieriences as far as Favre goes. Didn't tell any things that happened between Favre and any other players.
I'm glad he answered the questions. It leaves no doubt that HE tried to talk with Favre, and didn't get a response.
And like i also said.......the same people that always backed Favre for answering questions, and being up front with the media, wanted Rodgers to keep his mouth shut.
All i can guess is that they don't want to hear anything that might knock their "hero" down a few pegs.

Years ago i heard from one of the workers at the Brett Favre steakhouse not to believe the "Aw shucks" attitude Favre showed to the media........I didn't believe the guy, but from what has happened since makes me believe that maybe the guy was closer to the truth then i thought.

But we are all human.
Jerry Kramer is a guy that NOW admits he was a jerk to fans and thought his :xcensoredx: didn't stink. He now realizes it......years later.

I think it's cool that our QB attends every Super Bowl, now we get to see him suited up and playing next year in the Super Bowl.

I'm excited.

Rodgers spoke the truth. Hopefully by answering the questions now they will never be asked again. I highly doubt it but now he can at least say, I have answered that question before....next?

Theres no way anyone can spin that, when he's straight forward about it.
