Can our country's close-minded attitudes get any more lame? I've seen ads in Europe that make this one seem tame. We're so uptight in this country -- it drives me nuts.
Of course, PETA is one of the most close-minded organizations in the world, so I guess they deserve this kind of treatment. ;)

I completely agree with you.
I've blogged many times on the double standard of sex and violence in this country. You can show a decapitation (Indiana Jones 3) in a PG movie, a guy getting blown up to just blood (Mission to Mars) in a PG movie, but show a hoo hoo and the movie almost always gets an R rating.
Now, what's going to screw up a kid more, seeing someone get decapitated, blown up to a bloody mess, or seeing someone's hoo hoos? Jeez, a hoo hoo isn't even a sexual organ. That's how backwards we are as a nation when it comes to sex.
The thing with PETA though is they know it. They know we're sexually frustrated in America, so they play it every chance we get. They advertised all over myspace that their commercial was censored and I'd guess that just as many people saw it on the internet than people seeing the game on TV.
Smart move by PETA. As much as I hate them, their tactics are good. They got a generation of Emos who love them.
