Vegans are eating the rainforest.

My brother and I used to love grossing out other people, so we'd always order the weirdest or most disgusting thing on the menu. Plus, got a lot of Asian friends and Asians eat everything.

As for cow tongue, unfortunately only had it once. It was at a Jewish restaurant in Los Angeles. Only time I've ever had Jewish food. I was with my brother and of course, one of us had to order cow tongue. I ordered it and it didn't even look like a tongue. It looked like a thin slab of meat. I guess like Cheesey said they take those thingies off of it.

I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely loved it.

We would slice it thin, and it made the BEST roast beef sandwiches.
But i had NO idea it was a Jewish meal.

Oh....and remember what we used to call the "rain forest???"
JUNGLES!!!!
Have you ever heard someone say "Be careful! It's a RAIN FOREST out there!"???
Or the old cartoon, "George of the rain forest"????
Stupid......JUST PLAIN stupid. Give it a souped up name, and somehow it changes what it is.

We had beef tongue at deer camp one year.
When we came in from hunting and found out what was in the oven none of us were very happy but we were actually surprised how good it was.

Of course, PETA is one of the most close-minded organizations in the world, so I guess they deserve this kind of treatment. 😉

You know......they are so afraid of hurting anything living.....they might run over a squirrel with their cars.........maybe they should all stop driving.
But if they walk........they might step on some ants........so maybe they should all just kill themselves, to make sure they don't hurt anything else.

Makes as much sense as their organization does, doesn't it???

I completely agree with you.

I've blogged many times on the double standard of sex and violence in this country. You can show a decapitation (Indiana Jones 3) in a PG movie, a guy getting blown up to just blood (Mission to Mars) in a PG movie, but show a hoo hoo and the movie almost always gets an R rating.

Now, what's going to screw up a kid more, seeing someone get decapitated, blown up to a bloody mess, or seeing someone's hoo hoos? Jeez, a hoo hoo isn't even a sexual organ. That's how backwards we are as a nation when it comes to sex.

The thing with PETA though is they know it. They know we're sexually frustrated in America, so they play it every chance we get. They advertised all over myspace that their commercial was censored and I'd guess that just as many people saw it on the internet than people seeing the game on TV.

Smart move by PETA. As much as I hate them, their tactics are good. They got a generation of Emos who love them.

Zero2Cool (51m) : There's a toggle for light/dark theme. Super easy.
dfosterf (1h) : The white background beta was hard to read, especially the quotes
dfosterf (1h) : Hopefully the color scheme remains the same

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Did Savion Williams run into a goalpost or something?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
