FYI, I had, not 10, but 25 years of Horn, Tagge, Hunter, Delgazo, Hadl, Whitehurts, Cambell, Wright, Tomszac, etc.

The Redskins in '72 PO game played a 5 man DL w/ 3 DBs that is how much the QB sucked. They shut down the run game 27-66 and one run was for 18 yards, so that's less than 2 YPC w/o the long run. Playing just 3 DBs hunter was 12-24-150-0-1Int. and the WRs 5 catches for 74 yards, half the pass yardage was dump offs to backs. Tavaris Jackson would have looked like Bart Starr compared to Noodle armed Hunter. The other 21 starters were damn good.

in 25 years, GB only got a few good years from Dickey, who was less durable than Abberderis, and 1 year of Magic. Then all of a sudden we got Brooks, Hasselbeck, Favre and Brunell.

[Now after that trip down memory lane I needed some therapy and a shower, now I'm back]

But, I guess I'm missing the logic here. I'm evaluating his play and evaluating his role as a leader, not "complaining." Is he good in 2015 because he set the record for Passer rating in 2011? If you believe he played well, then provide counter-argument.

Or can we not criticize GB idols? IMO, it's that attitude that made us post season misfits, if we made it there, 2000-2008.

The one thing about Rodgers that has bothered me this year is the amount of guys that have been wide open short, and he either ignores them or waits too long for the throw to them that the defense has time to react and it kills any possibility to make it a big gain.

Too many drops also has hurt a lot.

Rodgers just needs to settle down and get on the same page with his receivers.

That would be a preferable scenario to one where Rodgers' mind and confidence is off but time will tell.

He needs to play better, as does most the team, but it's still good to be a Packer fan. I'd rather a struggling Rodgers than a Ryan Fitzpatrick playing well. All of Rodgers issues are fixable, and who knows how much injuries are at play here. We'll likely never know, that's for sure.

At least half of this current Packers organization probably wouldn't have jobs right now if not for Aaron Rodgers. He gets a decent bit of benefit of the doubt. He's earned it. He's certainly not above criticism, but when understanding the context of this season, I'm not too upset. Even if Aaron Rodgers was playing well I don't think a Dom Capers defense is good enough to win another Super Bowl unless it was full of elite talent. I doubt the dearth of talent at tight end can be overcame, either.

But perhaps playing patty-cake and a but squeeze will help wideouts learn to run their routes better?

Sorry, but that is the legal terminology for that behavior. He can get away with this as long as he playing at an MVP level; but this becomes major carcinogenic stuff when a "leader" screws up as much or more than anyone else; but decides to publicly call out the mistakes of others.

Olin Kreutz was talkin' about Bears debacle at end of Den game on 2 pt conv. Cutler checked to a run that had no chance given the line call and DL alignment. On post game Fox was asked about the play and he did the typical Mike McCarthy dance-around [BTW, this is the right thing to do]...He said its scheme cant talk about schematics blah blah blah. Cutler was asked next and he said that Foxy covered it, its scheme. Kreutz blasted Cutler for not being a leader; he said a leader stands up and says I made the wrong call!

Kruetz excoriating a guy for being silent and not taking the blame. I'm sure the word asshole would be one of the more milder expletives that would have crossed Kruetz' mind if a QB misses a wide open James Jones and then dresses down Adams in public for his failure to run a correct route.

And dont sleep on the idea that the drops are in part due to receivers trying to please Lord Rodgers. They may be pressing and their attention may be divided by trying to run the more perfect route.

Aaron Rodgers is just fine and I guarantee you that the vast majority of his teammates are also glad he is their QB. There may be a few that would prefer Tom Brady, but you couldn't necessarily blame them for that, either.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.

Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
