I think this was the play where Rodgers kept running in circles trying to get out of the pocket then got sacked. He's doing this way too much. I'll buy that the offensive line hasn't been great and the WRs haven't gotten open sometimes but I will not buy that they've been as bad as this offense has looked. Rodgers needs to get right and stop trying to play backyard football on every single freaking play.

However, it's a TEAM issue, not just receivers, offensive line, QB, or coaching. They are all to blame. But if an offensive line can't block, receivers struggle to get open consistently, and the offensive scheme isn't the greatest, most QBs will struggle. Once a QB hears footsteps, they play scared.

I've said Aaron Rodgers needs to play better for years, especially in the playoffs. But he absolutely needs more help from the rest of his teammates. If Aaron Rodgers "only" plays "good" or "average," the Packers don't stand a chance. The rest of the team should be better, especially the defense, imo.

What I find strange is that this happened ALL OF A SUDDEN.

Aaron goes from being compared to Micheal Jordan, Eddie Lacy goes from elite to can't do shit, the offensive line suddenly starts missing assignments, the D goes from domination and sack leadership to surrendering 500 yards per game.

ALL AT ONCE.

Wtf gives, man?

The Packers should have good enough coaches to address and scheme these issues for Rodgers, develop a solid game plan, and depend on Rodgers and the offense to execute the plan. If Rodgers has to tell the coaches what the problems are, the Packers need new coaches ASAP (which I think they do, at least offensive line coach and defensive coordinator).

Ultimately, Rodgers needs more help. He's a great player but he's not super man. He needs more help from the coaches, offense, and defense if the Packers are going to be champions again, and that's only going to become more of a priority as the years pass. But with that being said, Aaron Rodgers is much more than good enough to win at least one more Super Bowl. The rest depends on the pieces around him, which includes coaches that help/make him play better.

Because either he can't change and call his own plays at the LOS, or he thinks the plays being called are just fine.

If he consistently had a solid defense and offensive line play, the Packers would have likely had at least one more ring. But without that, it's more and more obvious that Rodgers can't carry the team alone. It is what it is. It's not like he isn't trying, but a player is only so good.

The Packers need to fix their issues while they actually have a QB good enough to win championships. Otherwise, they may be stuck with a shitty defense, average at best offensive line, AND a QB that can't win a championship after Rodgers leaves (potentially, of course). Acknowledge the most important players strengths and weaknesses, and design a program around that on both sides of the ball.

This guy ain't gettin it done via the draft.
