I'm late with my traditional? report, but I don't want to end it until the superbowl (yes we'll be there!) so here we go:
The glass half full:
James Starks: Starks is a very very underrated RB, he runs well, is good as a third down back and is becoming better in pass protection albeit he had troubles against Carolina.
Julius Peppers: He made several hidden plays against Carolina
A. Ripkowski: Just when it seems John Kuhn is declining we find a kid that seems to be getting in shape to play the position. This has to be good.
R. Cobb: He put a great effort, imagine our comments had we tied the game, Cobb was open in that last play. He is playing above all the offense.
The glass half emtpy:
D. Randall: You expected him in the glass half full but he was beaten a lot, his team lost and yet he was bragging about his only play in the game, it was actually a bad throw from Newton, the ball needs to go outside. I like this kid but humility is needed in defeat.
C. Linsley: I'm starting to think he is suffering the Casey Hayward syndrome: a strange disease that makes an average player look very good in his rookie season, then when he starts to play badly he is already a "starter". I'm worried. Another game like he had last week and I'd like to try JC Tretter at center. I've praised Corey before but he was beyond bad against the Panthers.
M. Burnett: When he is healthy we defend with 10. His alleged skill is "being good against the run" then why is he on the field on every play? He doesn't even appear in the TV screen in pass plays. Somebody should explain me what his assignment is when he is always 10 yards away from the ball.
BJ Raji: Take your ego to the locker room BJ. You just don't shove a teammate in front of the cameras.
James Campen: I'm speechless, I don't think our OLs are as bad as he makes them look.
A. Rodgers: He said he "got scared of something" in the last play. Fear leads to the dark side. He is now 0-25 when losing by 9 or more in the 2nd half. Matt Flynn is 2-4-1....
Next: The Lions are in disarray and we play at home, we can expect a good result but that doesn't mean our problems are solved, the schedule is hiding a lot of things from our team. I hope we can find criticism and room to improve after this win.
