Wouldn't mind him as HC, with Edgar Bennett as OC. But that's crazy talk, right?

It's like Kevin Greene for DC that so many called for... just a bright name... we have no idea if he would of done anything different and really he didn't have much success at his current role other than Matthews and rookies who would fall off the map in their future years...

The only Coordinator role I see that Whitt has done at any level is "Recruiting Coordinator" which I assume is far different than Defensive Coordinator... does he know anything about LBers or DL?

According to MM, Bennett has been filling a huge role as the running game coordinator for years... yet the running game has rarely has been that successful.

But hey they could be GREAT in new higher roles... but they could also be like Matt Millen as a GM... which some said had great potential but seemed to be a failure as other teams seemed to like Millen in that role as Lions GM more than the Lions seemed to like him there.

Coaches exist that could get more out of the Packers defense. Undoubtedly. That's been the case for years now. There are also coaches that could be worse, but it's just not my philosophy to accept so many historical defensive failures as Capers has allowed. I prefer more accountability. Capers is a decent coach, but that's about it at this point unless he has elite talent. What coordinator wouldn't be pretty damn good with elite talent? The Packers don't have a ton of elite defensive players, so they have to get more out of their coach. They have to have one or the other. Dom Capers just isn't that guy, in my opinion, of course. I have felt the same way for at least a couple years now. The Packers defensive personnel are better than they have played. The defense plays with Caper's ho-hum personality.

Whitt has basically been nothing but secondaries coach. What reason should we have that he has any idea how to design and call plays and know what LBers and Dline are supposed to do?

Sure, the positional coaches could be better, but Dom ABSOLUTELY should be better. That's been the case for years now. If coaches aren't getting it done, then replace them. How many chances do they get? Have some balls and confidence that you can find a better coach. I have a hard time believe that Dom Capers is the absolute best defensive coordinator the Packers could have found over the past five years. His defense is built in his reflection, which is a bad thing.

Sounds a like Brewers fans calling for Ned Yost to be replaced, Brewers still suck and Ned has his second title with a different team.

Funny how last month when we were 5-0 and had the #1 Scoring D, Capers was a genius. Now that our starting CB's are young and inexperienced, he sucks.

I have thought Whitt has done a nice job for several years with the CBs. But his boys got embarrassed yesterday.
